Our local BMW club met here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We sat outside under a large tree and ate off of a wooden picnic table. Lots of different foods are offered at a fair price. The food was good and the staff was very responsive. If you are in Shepherdstown, I would recommend stopping here in you find yourself hungry.

We were recently on vacation nearby in Sharpsburg, MD. This was one of the closest restaurants with reviews on tripadvisor. On a warm July evening we arrived. Parking is limited but we found a space on the second pass. The restaurant was busy, which was a good sign, with a mixture of singles, couples, and families, of various ages. A friendly host escorted us to a table outdoors. The menu was mostly sandwiches and such but with many choices. For those interested you can view it on their website. The setting was very interested and relaxing, with large trees providing shade over the tables and a small stream running through and under the restaurant. The wait staff was friendly and attentive and the food was quite good. I would recommend it to anyone staying or passing through Shepherdstown or the surrounding area.

Don't pass up this place opposite Shepherd University. They have many creative lunch choices on the menu from local sources. The menu specifies vegetarian and gluten free choices. The house salad dressing is a delicious garlic parmesan. The red cabbage soup is very tasty. The quiche special was flavorful. Save room for the excellent desserts. The cheery staff makes you feel welcome.

My twelve year old son and I ate here for dinner. The two-tiered outside seating is thoroughly surprising. A dense tree canopy, natural mini-waterfall, and diverse hardscaping created a truly unique environment. Regarding the food . . . we shared the El Nacho appetizer. I had the Sweet Pear Gorgonzola salad and my son ate the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. On all accounts the food was excellent. While I am sure all of the staff is excellent our experience with Jordan was excellent.

We had been to Sheperdstown a number of times, but never had spotted this little spot on a side street next to the University. This visit as part of summer CAFT theater we passed the Blue Moon on a short trip to visit the Potomac, which I also liked.
The Blue Moon Cafe is mostly a sandwich and small item place but worth a stop.
