“A coffee that packs a punch!”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

Stopped in here to grab a cup of coffee while aimlessly walking around Shepherdstown and wow! They let me pick out the specific coffee I wanted (went with a Colombian mix) and watched the entire french press shenanigans ensue (they have to stand on a box to get the correct leverage). My mom got an iced coffee -- warning -- they only give lids for the hot beverages -- thus when she spilled it later that afternoon, coffee went everywhere! We didn't stay inside there very long, but the service seemed pleasant while we were ordering! I did feel a little judged as I am a Starbucks drinker and they have many signs up that are very anti-chain, which of course you can understand as they are a small business, but in the end -- their product was great!

“Cuppa Joe”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

Cute, quaint little coffee shop in downtown Shepherdstown that serves a "mean" cuppa of lost dog coffee. Enjoy while strolling up and down the street or meandering around the campus.

“Coffee was good, maybe I'm just not hip enough to appreciate the atmosphere”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

I had a Wet Dog and it was tasty. (First coffee drink I've ever had that was served with a slice of orange!) Baked goods didn't seem that fresh. They had a large selection of tea and coffee.

Yes, the inside had the funky, college town vibe but it also just felt really grimy too. Also confusing, there were kids toys around as if to say, hey, bring your kids, but then they were playing loud rap music in the background. (Hey, teach your kids new words??)

Random note- I kept thinking of the Portlandia sketch when everything was an "art project" the whole time I was there.

“Great coffee, fun atmosphere”
Reviewed February 25, 2013 via mobile

Coffee is terrific. Atmosphere is quintessential college town. Don't miss it! Small seating area, art for sale, coffee and tea available for purchase to take home and brew yourself, too.

“Unexpected Super Coffee in a small town”
Reviewed November 9, 2012

Who would have thought you could find a fantatic coffee shop in a small West Virginia town. Coffees brewed to order, cappuchino, latte, flavored, etc. Can also purchase by the pound special beans from all around the world. Spacious area for reading a collection of newspapers, pleasant music. Also great pastries, cookies and muffins.
