“Very Nice Place if You're Passing Through Southern WV”

I have stayed at this hotel twice, and both times, it was a very pleasant experience. The most important thing to me when staying in a hotel is cleanliness, and I really like that this hotel washes its duvets and linens fresh for every guest. It made me feel like I could truly relax after a long drive rather than wonder what the duvet would look like under a blacklight. This hotel is close to the interstate and is conveniently located close to numerous restaurants and gas stations. It's a perfect place to stay if passing through WV on business or pleasure.

I stay in Hampton Inns a lot. This has got to be the best one ever. It is on par with the Fairmont hotel in Washington DC. I checked in to late for breakfast, but I was given a great room. I was hoping for a double bed room. They only had a king room with a sofa bed. As a room used for a relay driver I chose to sleep on the sleeper. It was doable. Not my usual choice It was comfortable with the seat couchings in the ends it was fine.

The wood grain was fantastic. Very woodsy and professonal. The bathroom was as nice as could be.Even the bathroom had wood cubbys for the towels.

Room Tip: 2cd floor or better to keep the headlights out of your room.

Four night business trip with business 3.5 miles from the hotel. No suites available but king studio offers additional space plus microwave and fridge. Comfortable room arrangement and bed. Good AC and Wifi in room. During my stay nothing other than the instant eggs which I cannot stand. Learned to appreciate the cheese or western omelet at other Hamptons. Still other options available and you cannot beat the price--free/included. Four restaurants easily walkable from the hotel. Others a short drive and super Walmart nearby. Pool is indoor and exercise facility is attached to the indoor pool. Treadmills and stationery cycles but not free weights. It is possible to walk around the hotel and done to Applebee's and back for a reasonable exercise walk that can be repeated to the miles you want to walk.
Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We took a youth group from our church to Winterplace Ski Resort on February 15th, and stayed three nights. The room my wife and I stayed in was very comfortable and clean. The entire property was very well kept. Breakfast was good. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Only about twenty minutes to the ski slopes.

Room Tip: The king room is very nice, but if you want microwave or fridge, you will need to upgrade to king su...

My husband and I opted to stay in Princeton on a long weekend trip through West Virginia. We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn because it was in a great centralized location for food (Texas Steakhouse, Chili's, Apple Bees, Crackel Barrel, etc...) and even a Walmart if you forget something while packing for your trip.

The hotel rooms were smaller than several other Hampton Inns that we have stayed at recently, however the room was not cramped by any means. The rooms were clean and the beds and pillows were comfortable. The complimentary breakfast each morning was great and included the traditional cereals, fruits, and breads, along with a waffle maker, sausage, eggs, and oatmeal. This was just the breakfast that we wanted before we went out skiing!

Winter Place Ski slopes were only 20 minutes up I 77 from the hotel, and we enjoyed visiting during our stay. During ski season you will probably see many groups and families getting ready to hit the slopes each morning at breakfast.

Overall, the staff is friendly, and the hotel is convenient, clean, and comfortable. We will be back next ski season!

I stayed at this property for one night in late October 2011. I was in the area for a high school sproting event. I was sold a room with two beds/three guests for $79.

This "first generation style" Hampton property is located near the WV Turnpike/I-77 in an area with multiple lodging and dining options. It is far enough from the highway that road noise is not a factor.

Check-in was literally a one minute affair as I utilized the echeck-in option. The lobby and desk areas were found to be clean, orderly and the staff member was polite.

Interior hallways were clean and well lit and elevator cabs were clean as well. Wait time for elevator service was minimal.

The room had been updated to a recent Hampton standard with a recessed and well lit work area. All areas of the room were clean, fresh and well stocked. The room was equipped with a refrigerator and microwave oven. Those items and all other electrical equipment were found to be in good working order.

I did not take advantage of the complimentary breakfast as we enjoyed a nearby Cracker Barrel. The breakfast area did appear to be well stocked.

Check-out was a breeze with a polite staff inviting me back.

This was a solid stay at an attractive price point. Should the need arise I would not hesitate to stay at this property in the future.

Stayed overnight twice while driving to/from SE Coast. Both stays were pleasant with good rooms & excellent breakfast. Staff was friendly & helpful. Plenty of local restaurants for dinner. Pool, hot tub, & fitness center were clean & well-kept. Quiet with no road noise from the highway.
