I've never stayed overnight at the resort. But, we've eaten at the restaurant, Mountain Creek, three times over the past few years. Every time it's been great.
The restaurant is at the bottom of a valley next to a small mountain stream. It's a beautiful location. Sometimes deer graze on the lawn. You get to the restaurant by riding an aerial tram. It can hold four people, like an enclosed ski lift. Book reservations at the restaurant early enough to take the ride down in daylight. The ride and the view are an important part of the experience, which is lost after dark. The setting is spectacular.
The food in my opinion has always been very good, though pricey. Dinner for two with salad, desert, but no wine was about $80. But good food in a beautiful setting makes it worth it for special occasion dining. It's closed during the winter, approx November to March. So check to see if it's open before planning the trip.
