“decent pizza, indifferent service”
Reviewed September 14, 2011

We enjoyed our pizza. It was tasty and chewy. However, our waitress seemed to forget about us several times during the meal. She also forgot to bring us utensils and napkins.

However, this is a small town with few dining options, and CJ's looked like one of the best available, so if you're staying in Parsons, this may be your best bet.

I should add that the decor was interesting. The owners obviously put a lot of themselves into it, with memorabilia and lots of curios everywhere.

“Nice place”
Reviewed October 12, 2009

We were there yesterday on a day trip to see the foliage. GREAT house salad - get their home made honey mustard dressing - it's amazing. The pizza was very good, as well. The ham was a little salty for our taste and the crust was a little undone, but it tasted really good so I didn't complain. We spent $19 for two salads and medium pizza (2 extra toppings).

Very nice, eclectic decor. Note the autographed picture of The WV Astronaut, Jon McBride, just outside the men's bathroom.

“Best Small Town Joint Ever”
Reviewed September 8, 2008

Cj's Pizza is in the small, small, let me say small town of Parsons, WV in Tucker County. Tucker County is busting with tourist spots and amazing vacation views! Tucker County is home of Blackwater Falls, Timberline Ski Resort, and Cannan Valley Ski Resort. Parsons, the county seat, is a small town in Tucker County that is often forgotten. The best whitewater rafting is based out of Parsons. The Blackwater Outdoor Center is located just out of the Parsons city limits. The county seat of Tucker County is Parsons. Parsons was ravaged by the flood of 85' and struggles to survive to this day. CJ's Pizza on the banks of the Black Fork River has impressed tourists and locals alike for more than 20 years. Upon entering the 3 story restored house you feel comfortable in the antique and family oriented restaurant. The menu is remarkable considering a chef salad that feeds a family is $5.99 and a large home style pizza with the works is under $16.00. The 3 level deck that ends at the rivers bank is just a treat in the summer. CJ'S Pizza is truly a historical gem hidden by the serenity of the small town of Parsons. Great Prices, remarkable food and family owned service, makes CJ's a must visit on your next WV ski trip. [-]
