“Lodge was comfortable, Cabin was not”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

While attending a funeral, because of our large family, we booked both a lodge room and a cabin. The lodge room was very comfortable, overlooked a pretty courtyard, and was clean and well-appointed for the money. The two bedroom cabin, on the other hand, was very dirty. My mother actually purchased bathroom cleaner and cleaned the shower prior to using it and my children's socks were black after being there only an hour. The windows had newspaper over the wooden sash and the glass was filthy. We stayed in the large, three bedroom cabin two years ago, and it was much nicer and was very clean. I would give it a try again, but would shy away from the two bedroom cabins. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: If booking a cabin, the largest cabin is the newest. If staying in the lodge, ask for a courtyard v...

Excellent Stay! While attending a funeral choices were very limited so we decided to give it a try and my entire family (a lot of us) stayed here... Staff, food, pricing were all excellent. My family loved the serenity of the area and peacefulness it provided. Rooms in the new lodge were very comfortable everything you need is right there. You could spend a wonderful vacation at this lodge and not even leave the grounds -- abundant wild life, pioneer farm to explore... plenty of activities - outdoor pool, indoor pool, dinning, room service etc etc the list goes on. It is a little off the beaten path about 45 min off of 77 north however it is so worth the visit. Abundance of hiking trails We just loved it! We plan on spending a week there next summer.

Room Tip: Stay in the new lodge -- rooms on the back have a wonderful view of the woods and wild life. Private...

Setting: Gorgeous. Main Inn: Beautiful. Staff in Restaurant: Very nice. Wine: Excellent. Food: okay. Front Desk Staff: could be nicer. Room: meh. We stayed in a ground floor room in the older section of the hotel. Unfortunately that was all that was available when we made reservations. The room was small and the bed was pushed up against the sliding glass door, making it difficult for whoever was stuck on that side of the bed to get in and out. Bathroom: ew! The bathroom was completely infested with millipedes/centipedes/worms? not really sure what they were. Started out with 2, by the next morning, there were probably 50. Looked like they were coming up through the cracks in the floor tile. We washed a bunch down the shower drain. When I told the person at the desk, her response was. "Well, we really can't do much about them. The bathroom is moist and they like that environment." Really? Ever heard of an exterminator? Ever heard of caulk? Made for a disappointing ending to an otherwise lovely weekend. My suggestion would be to book a room in the new wing, only. They are off the ground floor. The indoor pool was unfortunately closed during our stay, although it looked very nice through the window. Other than that, the setting was beautiful. Lots of deer everywhere. The old pioneer farm was idyllic.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the new wing only.

My boyfriend and I loved everything about this lodge. Friendly staff, clean rooms and pool. Delicious food at the restaurant and great prices. A little far out in the woods but perfect for nature lovers like us. We saw over 5 deer a night driving in. Right next to a golf course, rec center, play ground and more. Beautiful view from our room too. A must stay anytime we are in the area.

This park is big and beautiful. The staff are friendly, helpful, and want you to have a good visit there. The trails are full of flowers. The indoor pool and hot tub are great after a day in the woods. There are golf and tennis, too. The rooms are comfortable, and at dinner, be sure to get the berry cobbler for dessert.
Breafasts are too bountiful. The lobby has great windows looking out on the trees, and comfortable seating, a place that's fine for reading on a rainy day. The indoor courtyard and seating area reminds me of Europe.

Room Tip: Ask for one with an outside balcony

The employees at Twins Falls are very proud of their new lodge & justifiedly so. We booked a room in the new wing for an overnight stay and were impressed from the moment we drove up to the front door. Everything was fresh and clean, the lobby was warm and welcoming (with a staff to match), and our room had a lovely balcony over looking the woods. Our dinner was very good, breakfast was as well. Sadly, it poured so we didn't get to see very much of the grounds. I plan to come back and make up for that.

We stayed 1 night in May 2012 for a mini weekend getaway with my family of 4. The indoor pool and hot tub had great temps -not too hot, not too cold, clean deck and chairs, clean fresh towels, and clean dressing room in the pool area. The rooms were nice and offered great views. We stayed in the new wing or section of the lodge. We had a nice balcony off the room with a small table and some chairs. The railings were high enough we did not have to worry about the kids (ages 6 and 11) when they stepped out, and it did not really obstruct the views. I was pleased with the safety aspect. The room had a mini coffee maker, and mini fridge. The room was very clean. All of the staff was very nice. I wish there were more eatery options to choose from while there without having to drive too far. Pizza delivery to the room would be nice, or lower the room service rates. The on site restaurant lunch prices are decent, but breakfast and dinner was steep for what is being served.
