I recentlystayed at the Twin Falls State Park lodge overnight for a golf tournament and I must say that this facility can accomidate any type outing you may want to schedule. Challenging, well maintained 18 hole golf course, indoor pool, lodge with large conference rooms, well equiped work out room, full service restaurant, gift shop, spacious, clean lodge rooms, cabins, camp sites, picnic areas, and many other activities to numerous to list. I recommend this state owner facility for any activity. This is a destination in itself, and yes, there are two differtent waterfalls!

Visit the old home place and the grounds. Nice golf course, pool and eatery. Recently, major renovation.

Though it is little drive in off the interstate, it is well worth it. The park is very scenic and filled with wildlife. We didn't golf, but the course looked real nice. The thing I personally enjoyed the most was that it wasn't crowded and we picked a very nice, secluded spot. Also, the park ranger was very nice.

OK. So this is in the middle of nowhere. And I mean nowhere. Nestled in mountains of coal country in West Virginia is this gorgeous preserve. We stayed just two nights in a king suite for nothing other than the accommodations in Where's It, West Virginia and are planning a lengthier return for more outdoorsy, wild kinda things. Check-in was comparable to most places but occurred in a nice entry foyer with exposed beams, natural light, and obviously new creature comforts (this place has recently undergone a complete overhaul). The front desk staff are very courteous and professional, and speak with the area's distinct accent (which is charming, laced with "sweeties," "honeys," and "sugar pies"). Our room was on the second level overlooking a new courtyard. The king suite was MASSIVE. We had a ginormous flat screen TV, sofa, armchair, dining for two, a desk, one of those college dorm microfridges, a comfortable king bed, and well-appointed bathroom. The room was quiet, the A/C very functional, and the plentiful pillows promoted restful repose. We may have been in the mountains, mama, but we were in accommodations rivaling some in the big city (see previous review). This suite was huge. In an area with notably few accommodations, don't overlook this one. We shall return with friends, wine, and crunchy acoutrements to better enjoy the great outdoors- perhaps to rent one of Twin Falls' cabins next time. Note to Twin Falls: add more wall hangings; in the suite, such big barren walls left us feeling slightly sterile. More photography from the grounds is all it would take to warm things up a bit.

My family and i visit Twin Falls all the time, we live close & take advantage of the park and all the beautiful scenery. The kids enjoy playing & hiking, & we enjoy the peacefulness & the wildlife. The restaraunt is a bit high but the food is well worth the price. All in all, a great place to camp, hike, & picnic.
