Challenging Course, Beautifully manicured, Great views of the WV Mountains! I suggest at least 36 holes to catch your game up to the rolling terrain this course has to offer. Friendly course neighbors as well!

“Excellent Service, Excellent Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2013

We recently had Golf Tournament and banquet at Lakeview Golf Course and the experience and service we received was excellent in every way. The GM and Golf Pro were involved in all aspects of the planning and made sure to accomodate all of our needs. The course was well maintained, the food we had for the banquet was very good, the venue was clean and very well organized. I would definitely have another event at this establishment, nothing but pleased!!

This resort does not meet the standards of an Interval International /RCI Timeshare/exchange. Traveling with my Mother and a friend visiting family in the area. The area is very quiet and wooded. The resort includes a hotel, approximately 50 townhouse style condos, a large fitness center, several conference/ballrooms, an indoor pool and two outdoor pools, two restaurants, a club house and two golf courses. Additionally there is a spa at the resort entrance. The condos are spacious with two bedrooms and two full baths on the second floor and 1/2 bath, kitchen, laundry, dining area and large living room on the first floor. There are small balconies off both floors. The units come with some cookware, dishes & glassware and enough toilet paper, dish soap & trash bags to get you through the first day, after that you are on your own (as stated in the paper work they give you upon check-in.) There are no extra linens. The first unit we checked into (#29) smelled awfully musty and was so filthy that we requested a room change. We moved to room #46 which was somewhat cleaner and didn't smell. The units desperately need updates, furnishings, walls, floors, bathrooms, etc. The website advertises whirlpool tubs, however they left out that they are stained and the jets have oxidized and are now green. Not to mention someone's hair left behind!
Downtown Morgantown, and WV University are approximately 15 minutes from the resort. There are many interesting places to visit, eat & shop in that area.
Although the very friendly staff stated that updates are underway and the golf courses are beautiful, I would not recommend this resort, we were very disappointed by the accommodations.

“Won't be going back”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

Made reservations for 3 nights, but only stayed 2. Our room was clean, but a lot of other areas, such as the food tray that sat in our hallway from the time we got there until we left. The Mountain View golf course was in terrible condition, definitely not worth the money. The Lakeview course was in better shape, but they had their tee times booked so close together that you waited at least 10 min. on every hole. It took us 1.5 hours to play 3.5 holes, before we finally quit. We were there on a golf pkg., and when we checked out they had it all screwed up. We had to argue with the staff person on the over charges. In the end she did charge us for the pkg we were suppose to be there on, and I know it was very frustrating for her, and she did work it out. But somebody did not enter something right. I talked with other visitors who had bad experiences in past as well. The dinner that came with the pkg. was very good, the BF was ok. Have no intentions of ever going back.
