Crim-De La-Crim
Reviewed April 15, 2014

Elaine Mauke wears many hats. As a local historian, retired teacher, active appraiser and owner of many extensive collections, like old coins and guns, Elaine oversees a cavernous building which holds countless treasures, from antique rugs and quilts to fine china and bric-a-brac,from armoires, sofas and hoop-skirt chairs, to single lens reflex cameras and antique post cards.
The variety of curiosities is endless, from antique dolls to 3-sided chairs to antique glassware and secretaries. Elaire always has a detailed and enthralling story to tell, about Martinsburg history and life in the Panhandle. One of my friends from NY, insists on going there each time she comes for a vist saying that it is here favorite place in Martinsburg, and that it give her many ideas for writing.
