Description: Good Natured Is Evolving Maintaining a large in-store inventory was difficult with our small customer base. We will re-open in 2017 with a new approach to shopping by taking orders online and having customers pick-up at the store. Our inventory will be smaller and more diverse with a focus on local and start-up/independent manufacturers, i.e. less of what you might see in the grocery store. We will still offer bulk herbs, beer and wine, bulk grains and snacks, and the availability for you to purchase other items online. Good Natured will be organized much like a membership/collective. Supplements with be available for drop-ship. All these changes and more will unfold early 2017. If you would like to keep in touch please contact the collective on our web site. Sign-up for our email list so that we can keep you informed about our future plans. Stay friends as we might invite you over for dinner. Smile.

“Homegrown Goodness”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

Always enjoy lunch with some friends in this quaint establishment. Everything is made fresh in the kitchen with no meat, frozen, canned, or pre-packaged products. Portion sizes are smaller and pricier, but that's the price you pay for quality. Clientele is diverse with moms/children, college kids, young couples and BFF's. Not sure what the evening crowd is like since I would only recommend as a lunch destination. The front of this renovated old Victorian is a store selling anything from green household products to classic children's toys.

Park along back of shared parking lot and enter through the back door to get to the restaurant w/o walking through the store first.

“Best Kept Secret in Town!”
Reviewed September 1, 2012

What a wonderful shop and restaurant in this small town. The folks are super friendly and helpful. Loved the big front porch that you can sit on and enjoy your meal. The veggie BLT sandwich was extremely delicious along with the fresh salad. Would visit this place again and again!

“A West Coast Experience”
Reviewed May 1, 2012

When I walked in the door, I felt as if I had been transported 3000 miles across the US. There are lots of these fabulous little restaurants in California and Oregon, but very few of them here in West Virginia. The food is plate-licking good. My friend and I had the best veggie burgers ever, and a salad that was almost too pretty to eat. Dessert was a spice cake that had been slightly warmed to bring out the taste. The entire meal was perfection, and the service was cheerful and attentive. The restaurant is attached to a small general store that has all kinds of interesting things, from herbs to socks to music. It appears that business is good, but not many people know about it. I think it's the best kept secret in town.

“FINALLY!”
Reviewed February 29, 2012

I'm so tickled that there is a surviving, thriving, EXCELLENT local vegetarian place in Martinsburg! Nice contrast to the fast food and chain options. Set in Food is super yummy and the staff is always friendly. Take your veggy skeptics here and show them what food is meant to taste like. Price is average for fresh, hand prepared, local food. I could eat their salad and their specials EVERY DAY! I like to shop for organic, vegan, and environmentally items in their shop, too!
