When we first drove up to the main house, and I saw all the lights, I knew we were in good hands. Our room, in the Biltmore cottage, was spacious with a great private porch, the food was surprisingly good, and the staff was incredible. I enjoyed how breakfast was different both days as well, which just shows the attention to detail the owners have. Not to mention, our waitress was amazing. We both got massages, which were great and relaxing and I loved working out in the well-equipped gym. My favorite thing about this place is that while I thought I would want to be out hiking the whole weekend, upon taking the initial tour I just wanted to curl up on one of the great leather couches near one of the multiple fireplaces, read my book and finish the entire Sunday NYTimes, and maybe play some Scrabble with my boyfriend. And that is exactly what I did.
Think of this more as a resort for those who want to get away in the mountains and less of your grandmother's b&b.
