Classic combo gift shop/ cafe almost as old as the town itself. It is situated in the center of the town ( technically there's none). Their slim pickings are a bit overpriced - especially the wood cutting boards and similar. Be here for their cafe. The champagne dressing infused blue cheese pear salad smacks of flavor and freshness. I swear I can finish a whole bowl and more. Tomato bisque just had the right texture. Decadent selections of cake- yum. I would come back here for the food. What a lovely friendly staff!

This restored, 1800's General Store (and Cafe) exudes charm, grace and calm comfort. Owners Ted & Toni are the husband and wife dynamic duo; always supporting the community, helping their staff and hands-on ensuring every guest is satisfied. Lunch is perfect, really..... no matter what you choose you'll be happy. My personal favorite is the smoked pulled pork sandwich which is served with awesome coleslaw and pickled onions on the side (they are truly amazing). For lunch, a close second is the Vicky-Bell panini!i would recommend one of each and split with a friend if your only able to have lunch once on your visit to Lost River! Once you are done with lunch be sure to explore the many gifts, crafts and treasures the store is stocked with. This local treasure is brimming with Americana and heart.

We stopped here to do a little shopping and ended up having lunch. I'm so glad we did! I have tomato bisque and the pear and cranberry salad and both were fantastic! My fiance had a turkey club and was impressed at the thickness of the turkey on his sandwich. We were both very pleased and would definitely visit again. The menu is pretty small, but they have several vegetarian options, which was great!

The food offering looked great, but we just had ice cream. It's hand made and delicious! Since we were there in December we had peppermint- it was clearly as natural as you can get- no artificial colors or flavors here!

This is a local joint, nothing fancy, but really good. We stopped in for lunch and the place was filled with locals, which was fantastic. We like to get that kind of vibe, and not be surrounded with tourists.
Highly recommend the chili! The more you eat it, the more you like it! Not too spicy, and the right ratio of beans & meat to sauce.
I had a grilled ham & cheddar and my husband had the Rueben. Both were excellent! Be sure to get the homemade potato chips.
We took home a pecan chicken salad (awesome) and pecan & coconut cream pie (to absolutely die for!) Total bill: $40
The service was friendly, accomodating & prompt.
