“Nice Trendy area close to Marshall U”
Reviewed November 8, 2013

This is a nice area to roam around if you get downtown Huntington and want something to do or if you are a few hours early for a concert as I was. It is well within walking distance of the Big Sandy arena. There are several restaurants to eat at including Max & Erma's, UNO Chicago Pizzaria, Five Guys burgers, Roosters, and for desert a small pretzel/pastry shop and Cold Stone Creamery. There are several different upscale shopping places along with a bookstore, a phone store, and a place to do pottery yourself or with your children. A movie theater and night club are also in the complex. The area is well lighted and public so it is a good place to go. Had to laugh when I seen one was one place that claimed the worlds best cheesecake though. I guess the store had just gone out.that had just gone out because the sign was still lighted and everything. There was newspaper on the windows and a for lease sign on the door. I had to think world's best and they closed. Either the world just didn't like cheesecake that well or it wasn't the best after all. lol

Roosters and Marshall Café are the best! Both have great food and great surroundings. Pullman Square is very clean and very well lit.

“Wonderful destination or just killing time - Pullman Square has it all!”
Reviewed September 24, 2013

It's the heart and soul of Huntington, West Virginia. Whether you want coffee at Starbuck's, a really great book store, see a movie, a wonderful card shop, great burgers, a trip down Marshall University history, jewelry, clothing, music or just hanging out; Pullman Square in Huntington West Virginia is the place. Parking is just steps away and cheap at normally $1 for 2 to 3 hours. The lawn and benches are wonderful for just people watching. The weekends are normally filled with events happening in the square so even if you are not from Huntington you can feel part of something there. The Starbuck's on the square is one of the best anywhere and you will always meet interesting people there if you are open to that.
