Found this little gem on Google Maps on our way to the New River Gorge. Our first indication of a great place was the number of cars parked outside on the street. (If no parking is available park below the restaurant in another open parking lot.) The extensive menu mainly consisted of unique sandwiches served on baguettes...although there were some interesting appetizers and salads. . They all had names after presidents. Most were priced at $I0. I had the Kennedy...sliced pork loin, ham, mozzarella cheese, homemade pickles and garlic mayo. It was delicious! Dishes come with homemade chips. I also had a cup of homemade spinach bisque which was very tasty although not especially hot. Service was exceptional and very friendly. Waiters wore t-shirts with 'Shhhh' on the front. Upon finishing our meal our sever, Rory, asked if it was appropriate to present our check. We ate outside on a pleasant deck.

The sandwiches and burgers were amazing. The cheese for the fries was yummy. No real dislikes here. Husband says it was the best burger he ever ate - the "Rawhide"

The food here is delicious! Love both the burgers and sandwiches. The atmosphere is unique and charming and the outdoor seating adds lots of value. The service can be somewhat slow but the food is worth the wait. Parking is limited and may be hard to find at times.

We were driving by after a hike in the nearby national park. The whole crew was hungry, and so we checked the food options on the GPS. We saw this intriguing name, and decided to give it a try. We loved the feel of the place and enjoyed the local draft beer we allowed ourselves. The server was extremely patient with the pickiness of our kids. All but one of us loved our food; the youngest didn't like his turkey sandwich because it wasn't the lunchmeat he expected - it was too authentic. Great lunch stop, though a bit more expensive than we expected.

Betty & I stopped here for lunch and were delighted of what we found within the backstreets of the small Wv town. The parking was limited, cause we found all the spaces used by the crowd in the place. But, never-the-less we did get in and we were seated on the deck for service. Drinks (My original sweet tea) were served in commercial containers, which told me, "there wouldn't be any free refills". I ordered the "Polk" sandwich and at the "moment soup" (barley & ingredients) which came out luke warm. the potato chips on the plate looked great until I tried them, stale like, but, crunchy. The Polk was great. The costs were more then worth of what received by 30%. Would I go back, maybe if we don't have other choices in the area when there.
