This is what I'd consider a lunch spot. The menu has many interesting types of items, obviously most are sandwiches. Many of the items are home made, organic, or locally sourced. The staff was polite and fun, the prices were good, and so was the food.

We had read Trip Advisor's reviews of this sandwich shoppe when we knew we were going to visit the area, but the recommendation of our guides on the New River Gorge Bridge Walk sealed the deal. We headed to the Secret Sandwich Society full of expectation, and we were not disappointed! The "soup of the day" was Mac-n-Cheese Monday, and we shared a delicious bowl of creamy goodness while waiting for our sandwiches. All of our sandwiches were delightful creations, accompanied by fresh chips. Friendly service, and a nice table on the porch made for a great lunch. The only thing we could have asked for would have been some fresh-brewed iced tea, but oh, well, all in all our lunch was delicious.

My wife and I ate here the weekend before Christmas and the sandwiches and pickles were wonderful! These aren't just run of the mill subs. The ingredients and sauces on the meals are paired well and the flavors are wonderful. I would highly recommend this. We actually returned the following day, we liked it so well!

This joint had many different selections to try, hard to settle on one. The Eisenhower was a great choice though. Plenty of food for a lunch option. Also I tried their soup of the moment, very impressed. Excellent beer selection as well. ;)))

In-house and Local are the words of the day at this spectacular food spot! And the waitstaff were eager to share advice not only on menu choices, but also when it comes to local things to do... Even bringing a "Guide to Hikes" to my table. Make the turn off Hwy 19 and discover the Secret!!
