The website for this lodging made it look alot newer and more attractive then it really is. We stayed in one of several houses along the Cheat River. Our house was spacious and the location was great. Right on the River. However, it appeared that it had not been updated or repaired in many years. The dishwasher was rusting out and falling apart. The paper was peeling in the bathroom. The furniture was old. Everything was sad and tired. I would strongly suggest not staying at a place like this unless you can overlook these kinds of things, which I can't!!! Also, the price was high for what we got.

We were there June 5-8, stayed in one of the cabins (Sisselbloom) and had a terrific time. The cabin is right on the river, the deck is close enough to fish from, and the hot tub has a great river view. While there are other houses on the street, you can't see any from the back of the house and no buildings on the other side of the river. Very private.

The house was clean when we got there but, as someone mentioned, the daily house keeping consists of picking up the used linens and servicing the hot tub. We didn't consider this a problem but apparently some people do.

We ate outside on the deck at the restaurant one evening. The meal was great and, unlike the negative review someone else posted, I was left wondering how we could sit outside on a river and not be bothered by bugs.

Great hiking in this area, fishing looked good too. I don't fish but I did enjoy sitting on the deck watching the fly fishers in the river.

We stayed in the Sisselbloom. Very nice. Not a cabin, a native rock house, but it was a nice cozy place. Right on the river! If you were so inclined to you could fish right off the deck! Hot tub was nice and there were 2 fireplaces with gas logs that were lit when we arrived so the place was nice and warm. Very clean. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to come back in warmer weather to play in the river!
