My daughter and I dined at Railyard as part of the Polar Express package, and we both had a wonderful experience. Enjoyed the live music and devoured the chocolate cake! The service was excellent. We would definitely go back.

My friend, her daughter, Bethany, and I attended the Polar Express Holiday Package. It was an early dinner at the Railyard restaurant before boarding the train, the Polar express. We were all excited, but Bethany most of all. She was so excited she couldn't sit still. That is until the live Christmas music started and the meal was served. Traditional turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce. And for dessert, the biggest piece of chocolate cake Bethany had ever seen! All in all, a very nice experience. We plan to go back next year.

What a NICE place! I don't think I've enjoyed eating perfectly grilled chicken like they had. The mash potatoes were real with nice little lumps and the nice ambiance added to the meal. The portions are very adequate and the prices are very reasonable. I would enjoy going back when the trains are running and the farmer's market is open right outside the door.

If you have to trip the waitress to get their attention you need to go somewhere else to eat. We sat for over 10 minutes without even an acknowledgement from anyone as they walked around. We did our on walking.........out the door!

Dined here prior to attending a performance of the American Mountain Theater (see sepatate review) as this is located right next door to the Theater. Upstairs is where the various bus groups dine, while downstairs includes a dining room and gift shop.

Food was not good at all. I had fried chicken that was very dry and both overcooked (one section) and not adequately cooked (the other piece). It was just horrible. The mashed potatoes were like paste -- not tasty at all. The salad would have been OK, except that it was drowning in salad dressing. No water offered even after we asked for it.

The hostess / main wait person (a young pregnant woman) was clearly having a bad day. She was very unprofessional. When we asked to have the blinds pulled down (as the sun was in our eyes), she indicated she would take care of it. After 15 minutes without this being addressed, one of the guest at my table got up to pull down the blinds. The hostess then yelled at the guest that "SHE WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT AND THAT THE GUEST SHOULD SIT DOWN." Having embarrassed this person before the entire room, she finally pulled the blind down.

About the only positive of this experience was that dinner ended in time to see the show at the American Mountain Theater.

Recommendation - find somewhere else to dine before going to the American Mountain Theater. There are other choices in the area.
