I enjoyed the surf and turf chapacha I got here. It had interesting and good flavors, especially when using the salsas they serve it with. They also have a good beer selection.

Came here to visit for Augusta and ate at el gran sabor. BEST FOOD I HAVE EVER ATE! Everything around was fabulous to the food, drinks, wait staff, and atmosphere. They also have live music on Wednesdays and Fridays. Definitely recommend this to anyone in the area.

For years, Elkins has been the traffic bottleneck we had to get through in order to get to either Snowshoe or points north (Canaan Valley, Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob, etc.) Now, we have a reason to stop. Not only can we get delicious Venezuelan cuisine, but they carry beers from the newly opened Big Timber Brewery. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was just right, and the experience capped off a beautiful day.

Visited with hopes of an interesting and positive experience but left disappointed.

Soup starters were initially served lukewarm so needed to be reheated. But, the taste was somewhat insipid and uninspired. A salad starter was dreadful, being limp and tasteless.

Additional starters of cornmeal wrapped beef were a tasty success. The star was the tilapia judged as excellent. Steak fajitas though were rather bland and ordinary.

Service was charming and helpful. Prices were low.

Overall it is not possible based on our visit to rate the place as any better than Average.

A surprise in the middle of West Virginia! Lots of waitstaff and even met the owner briefly. This food is the real deal, no nasty sticky rice or refried bean gruel. The tostones and the sauces are so good. The rice is fluffy and flavorful. My capachas were to die for. Get the chicken soup, flavorful, you won't be sorry. The empanadas and other items had the best tortillas and corn wraps I have ever had at a south do the border restaurant. Very reasonable local craft beer available. A bar with live music in the back. Worth the trip, I only wish my stomach was bigger!
