Chestnut Ridge Country Inn

This is a small 4-room B & B in a restored farm house in a small quiet community. It very clean and plesant and the inkeepers are very accommodating. Breakfast was good home cooking. There is not much to do at the inn, but there is excellent hiking and sightseeing nearby. It is very convenient to Snowshoe and Cass Scenic Railroad. Restaurants are a few miles down the road, but the food is good and inexpensive. Our room was clean and comfortable, but nothing fancy. Just a pleasant country place to relax.

My wife and I were looking for a "off the beaten path" B&B to spend a long weekend. What we found at Chestnut Ridge was exactly what we were looking for. Although in a sparseley populated area it is easy accessible from two state highways. The scenery is gorgeous and the charm of the old farm house is undeniable. Larry and Paula were very attentive and it was evident that they care deeply about their business. Would recommend to anyone. We won't soon forget the view from our window in the mornings of the morning mist against the mountains. Also, military gets a discount!!

Larry & Paula have done an excellent job of transforming a vintage farm home into an comfortable B&B. Their Chestnut Ridge Country Inn in the old village of Dunmore is near the Cass Railroad park and is on a very quiet street with plenty of parking. Their hospitality made us feel welcome.

The bedrooms make you feel like you are staying at grandma’s with all the antiques and vine covered windows and they are larger than viewed on website. Breakfast was simple, but made fresh with blueberries from a bush out back and locally made syrup, sausage patties and lots of fresh coffee and juice.
Larry and Paula sat and talked over a cup of fresh made coffee at 9:00pm after our trip to Cass Railroad.
Great people … Great rooms … Great price!

Larry & Paula were very accommodating innkeepers. They made our stay very enjoyable. Our group arrived at the Inn with only our bicycles and needed dinner. Larry graciously drove us several miles away so we could pick up supplies. That evening was chilly and Larry made a bonfire for our group to enjoy. The next morning Paula made a delicious breakfast and Larry took our picture and wished us well as we began our journey on the Greenbrier River Trail. Thank you for a great stay!

Nice accomodation for an over night in the middle of nowhere. If you want a get away and be "disconnected", this is the place. Larry and Paula were very personalbe and kind; enjoyed getting to know them. Highly recommend.

Our room was very large, with a huge bathroom with everything I forgot to bring! Breakfast was great and the service and company of Larry and Paula were excellent.
What beautiful grounds! If we come back to ride the Cass train again we will definitely stay here again.
