I just return home from a celebration for my sister's 50th birthday. I planned this trip to Glade Springs months in advance. We stayed from early Friday afternoon through Monday. The Resort is huge, with something to do for everyone. Whether you want to play golf, tennis, bike, hike, SPA, horseback, walk the grounds, movies, or just absolutely relax and enjoy your surroundings, this is a wonderful place. I've visted resorts in FLorida, Arizona, Hawaii, WV, CA, etc. The SPA at Glade Springs is top notch! Service is above and beyond my expectations. We dined at all 4 restaurants and the service and food was fabulous! The Glade Grill where we celebrated the 50th birthday was totally 5 Star. Carmine (director of restaurants) made us feel welcome, and we totally enjoyed our experience dining at the Glade Grill. There were 6 of us there, it actually rained on 2 days but it doesn't matter. They shuttle you complimentary anywhere you need to go on the grounds. It doesn't matter if you call 1 time a day or 100, they're promptly there to pick you up, It's so peaceful and beautiful. The trees were in fall foilage, deer roaming peacefully everywhere, just a gorgeous place to relax and have fun where the staff really care if they are meeting your needs and are there to assist you in everyway they can! And they did. We will be going back and wanted to pass the word to everyone who wants a great getaway! Glade Springs has a 5 star resort with 5 star service and they make EVERY guess feel like they're a 5 star person!

Room Tip: If you have 6 or more going, we are so happy we chose the 3 bedroom Villa. It was so nice being tog...

Stayed there for one night, while touring around the area. The resort area is huge, there are tennis courts, 2 golf courses and a huge pond to boat in too. If we had more time we would have loved to explore the resort more than we did. We also tried out their on grounds restaurant, Bunkers, that was good too. The staff was great, they gave us a things to see and do around the area and we we tried to cover all of it. Also we stayed in the Executive suite, it was massive and very comfortable.
Fun time, will definately visit again, but this time for longer.

The Inn at Glade Springs is located in the perfect stopping point for those midwesterners returning from a trip down south. Unfortunately, this resorts focus is on golf and not hospitality. Many comment on the beautiful golf courses, but my wife and I stayed for the day to enjoy the surroundings and spa. Both of these were great!

What was subpar was the room and the service at the restaurant. Our room was not what was indicated when we made our reservation. When asked about the discrepancy we were told we could have the promised room for additional $$. The room we got was not properly cleaned and stale from lack of use. The restaurant was under staffed and the staff seemed quite uninterested in the patrons, but focused on some sort of paperwork. The food was at best OK.

What potential to be a first class establishment too bad they suffer from poor management and a lack of investment back into the facility.

Room Tip: Stay at the Inn to avoid having to drive to various locations for meals.

The resort is located in a convenient location to the Grandview entrance to the New River National Park. I had a Living Social deal for the stay. The reservation and front desk staff were very nice and helpful We stayed on the second floor of one of Executive Suites. The Suite was comprised of a King size bed squeezed into a small room and a living area with a couch, desk and chair. There was a small refrigerator and microwave. The suite was clean but the furniture was worn and a bit tacky. The grounds were well kept.

This is a mixed review. We were originally booked in the Executive Suites (separate buildings from the Inn) and asked to be moved after the first night. First impression - Outside: in need of paint, step handrail boards falling out, etc. Inside: remodeled and much better than the outside. However, if you are in need of the pull-out couch as we were, it was not usable. Maids said that even adding an additional mattress would still have the same springs coming up through. We had 2 couples staying (which was why we booked the suites - since the queen bed and pull out sofa in the living room provided 2 separate sleeping areas) Also, the bathroom door had no workable lock.
The front desk staff were all exceptionally nice and helpful - as were the housekeepers. The front desk offered to move us to the Inn, which we did and it was much nicer. Unfortunately, there are no rooms with separate sleeping areas - both the couch and bed are in the same room. Or 2 queen bed regular rooms - which we opted to do. I liked that both places had a little cooler fridge and microwave.
Guys thought golf course was exceptionally nice.
Unless you are lucky enough to catch a "deal", it might be a little over-priced. JMHO.

Room Tip: The Inn rooms are nicer.

The main purpose for this vacation was golf, fun and relaxation. We got to do all three. We stay in one of the Chestnut Hill Lodges and were quite satisfied with the lodge. Full kitchen, bathrooms for all bedrooms, tv's every where. It would have been nice to have a big screen tv in the living/dining room. The golf courses where in great shape and presented a challenge. There were some great looking holes on all three. Would be hard to pick a favorite course. We did try to experience a lot of the other activities and enjoyed the ones that we did. The food was good, but the kitchen needs help and better managed glades and bunkers. Small talk cafe was very nice. Would I recommend this resort to other people, YES, but I would warn them of the slow kitchen and wait staff.

Room Tip: Forget the rooms if there are 4 or more adults (can includes kids) and ask for a lodge.
