I have stayed in many gites in this price bracket ( up to £500 pw) and this is the best gite that I have ever stayed in. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone, especially if they have mobility problems like me. The ground floor of the gite was fully wheelchair friendly and the wet room even had a proper shower chair for disabled use. If there had been somewhere to put my clothes on the ground floor I would not have had to use the stairs at all.The sofa bed on the ground floor was the most comfortable bed in the gite, but all the beds were comfortable. The decor throughout was elegant and very stylish. The kitchen was superbly equipped. Most gites I have stayed in were equipped from the owners rejects or the nearest brocante. NOT le Domaine du Templier gite, the owner, Caroline, has made every effort to equip and decorate this gite to the highest standard, just as she would her own house. Caroline and her family were perfect hosts and very friendly. As were Izzy the dog and her donkey and shetland ponies. There is a very well equipped play area for children. Nearby in Hazebrouck or Ballieul are excellent shopping facilities, about 25mins away is the large retail area at Englos/Lomme. Within easy reach are the Flanders Battlefields from WWI. The Somme Battlefields are about 1 hour away. The countryside around this gite is very pretty and the are chateaux, gardens and historic areas to visit. There are also many equestrian facilities in the area. If you choose this gite you will thoroughly enjoy your stay.
