“The Best Pasta in Charleston”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2013

A wonderful old Charleston tradition. I have been eating there since I started on solid food and that has been 67 years. Just good Italian food in a very homey atmosphere. They have always had a limited menu and made it all done right.
The house dressing is unique and a must to order.

“a tradition”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2013

Their food is homemade and original. It is small, but well worth any wait. Possibly a little expensive for the amount of food though.

“Great spaghetti place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 10, 2012

I drive here once or twice a month from Huntington just to treat myself. The restaurant is always been a favorite and I don't care what these other people say, the sauce is authentic Italian. Sauce from a jar is going to be most of what people eat so eating anything different would taste different as well. Service is great. The prices are a little on the steep side but still authentic Italian not like "heat and eat" Olive Garden.

“only good for nostalga”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2012

Wow, what a disappointment. Lasagna had hardly any cheese or meat in it -= was 95percent noodles and sauce - cheap to make yet still cost 13 bucks. worst lasagna ever, even worse than school lunch lasagna. it was similar in consistency and composition to the spaghetti, just with bigger noodles. 18 dollar chicken dish was a disappointment - and included only 1 small piece of potato and no peppers. was supposed to be a chix/vegetable dish. 10.50 for a small, forgettable spaghetti. And only italian restaurant i have ever been to that charges extra for garlic bread - on top of the high prices for meals. Think what keeps them going is the nostalga that some folks feel for the place, as saw little else that would bring me back - and that is not enough.

“homestyle italian comfort food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2012

you wont get a luxurious/formal feel here, but the food is exceptional. I usually get the ravioli and greecian toast. The salads are good and their house dressing is pretty hard to beat as well. They have canollis on the menu too!
