They have exceptional traditional italian food: Spaghetti, ravioli, Eggplant and lasagna, but what most folks don't realize is that possibly their best thing on the menu is the filet mignon and seafood. The blackened filet and blackened grouper are as good as you will have anywhere in the world.

Grew up in northern NJ, and have eaten in some bizarre places, and some fabulous Italian places in Northern NJ. and NYC. Suffice to say that roses can grow from dung piles.
Traveling through, and hotel employee sent us there the day before valentine's day, as his first choice from some people who've been through before, or something akin to that. Had just driven for about 10 hours, and the minute we walked in, it was clear we were "underdressed", and late, to say the least. Didn't matter--they were gracious from the get go, and the waiter was fabulous. Had two of the pricier items on the menu (for 2 of us), with wine. It was unbelievably cheap for the meal and service provided; the food was great. Superb canelloni. Very good gravy, with my wife's homemade as the gold standard. Wine prices okay. NOT hard to find if you ask directions... They were good to us, even though we were clearly the least important people there that night, and that we only might ever pass through again. If you like Italian, you'd be foolish not to go.

Hard to find..italian muzac in a room with dark walls, fake Tiffinay chandeliers, and a large amusing mural depicting gondolas somewhere in Italy. Place is fifty years old and it is surprising that it has lasted this long. Perhaps it has had better days. We love to try family style Italian places en route, and I try the Lasangna in many places. Fazio serves you a very small portion, bland, and totally without charm or interest. A salad comes with it but they charge $2 extra for the Caesar salad without anchovies, fresh lettuce but watery dressing. The spaghetti was overdone and the marinara totally forgettable. The desert tray is non-italian cakes and they serve their spumoni in an sunday dish. For what you get it is overpriced.

A Charleston landmark tucked away in industrial district but well worth finding. And they still serve their historic pizzas that they brought to Charleston in the 1950s. But they have so much more from steaks to pastas to wine and beer. Started in the Fazio home which was located on this site and expanded over the years. Great selection of everything Italian ....

I've been to Fazio's many times and love the food and atmosphere. I have a hard time deciding what to order because I like so many entrees on the menu. My only complaint is that they are no longer open on Sundays.
