“Wow, fresh seafood in a land-locked state!”
Reviewed July 22, 2010

This place flies in fresh seafood 3 times a week and it is never frozen. Take one bite and you know it was worth it. Each entree is prepared after it is ordered. The fried oysters were delicately prepared and not greasy at all.

“Nice place to eat”
Reviewed June 4, 2010

Been here on two occasions and both times had great service and food. The atmosphere is nice, almost to good to be connected to a mall. All around good experience.

“Worst meal ever”
Reviewed May 24, 2010

This is the worst restaurant I've eaten in in a long, long time. The rolls were greasy and so salty as to be inedible. I ordered raw oysters as an appetizer. They were full of sand and looked and tasted as if they'd been enbalmed. So instead I tried a cup of New England clam cowder. Rather than a cream soup, I received a glue-like liquid apparently made only of flour and water. My main course came with a choice of salads. I chose a greek salad, which consisted of a bed of iceberg lettuce with over-ripe tomatoes and a large quantity of a white substance which looked like feta chese but didn't taste like any kind of cheese. The main-course catfish was dark grey instead of white and seemed to have been frozen, not quickly. The side of mixed vegetable was raw. Fortunately, I like raw vegetables. This was the only part of the meal I actually managed to eat.

“It's A Hit Or Miss !!!!!”
Reviewed April 17, 2010

Been in Charleston for several months and have visited Tidewater Grill several times.... Some times the food is good and the service is poor !!! But more often than not ,the food is terrible and the service is bad and I mean very bad !!!! The last time we visited my wife ordered the salomon and it was stone cold so she sent it back ... It was even colder when the server brought it out the second time... So she sent it back a third time .. when the server brought it back the third time it had been microwaved and was bone dry and like a piece of leather ... Funny thing was the manager did a table visit and asked how things were so we told him what happened... His response was to stop in some other time and try something else .... Strange way to handle this, but whatever !!! One thing I can assure you is we wouldnt be going back EVER !!! Now I see why outback is so busy, atleast you know what you are getting there.... You have been warned !!!

“Had A Good Easter Lunch”
Reviewed April 8, 2010

Good service and good choices especially for seafood. We were seated promptly and given a choice for indoor or outdoor seating. Would definitely go there again when in Charleston.
