“Cool Little Hotel; Had a VERY pleasant stay”

I have stayed here now three nights and this is a good hotel that is convenient to downtown Charleston. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful. Room was clean and typical of this chain. Good housekeeping and the wireless internet is GREAT!!!! The complementary (HOT) breakfast buffet is different (and good) each morning. Plenty of food and a bottomless cup of coffee. They have manager's appreciation night on Tuesdays and there is complimentary dinner fare. There are cookies or popcorn or something every night. The indoor pool and hot tub is an added perk.

Will definetly stay here again when I am in town! You get good value for your money here.

Not bad for the price. The bed was reasonably comfortable, and the room was clean. But one could probably do better. The room was sort of dreary. Although it didn't bother me because the heating fan drowned it out, I did notice some moderate traffic noise.

I've stayed in quite a few Hampton Inns (I'm a government employee) but this has to be one of the worst. Its the little things in a room that sours your experience: 4 out of 5 lightbulbs in the room were burned out and I had to call maintenance. The bedspread was frayed and had a few holes in it. The wireless internet (one of the reasons I stayed) did not work. Oh and the toilet overflowed and guess what GUSHED out all over the floor? I had stayed there 2 years earlier and it has gone way down hill since my earlier stay.

We came to this hotel after fleeing a nightmare of a hotel elsewhere in town, as it is the only other hotel in town with an indoor pool. This was our 1st stay at a Hampton Inn.
The hotel itself was very nice! The decor was new and clean. The beds were super comfortable and had big fluffy comforters and extra pillows. There was also extra linens in the dresser.
The pool and hot tub were great. Be advised that they close promptly at 10PM. Hot breakfast was good, but could have used some gravy to go with the biscuits.
Overall, the hotel was great. Unfortunately, its location leaves much to be desired. It's built on a wedge of land between several streets. It's difficult to enter and exit the parking lot. It is also right beside the interstate and the traffic noise kept us awake most of the night.

We stayed 2 different stays in September. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was great, with a variety. They even had dinner appetitizers of potato wedges and wings. We had a non-smoking room, but the hallways smelled of smoke as you walked through them. The electricity went out in on the TV side of our room . It was reported and service returned in an hour but we missed the ending of the program we were watching. Beds were firm and uncomfortable. Coffee maker was a one cup, we did not like this, since we drink tea and use the glass pot. The room and hotel is very clean. The air conditioner was loud when operating. Overall an average stay.

We were stuck with a smoking room because the hotel was booked and the room stunk. Thankfully, the hotel is within walking distance of a mall (a nice perk) so we were able to buy a Yankee Candle. The air conditioner was inefficient and noisy (our friends' room had an updated model that was quiet and efficient - however, their toilet broke). The beds / pillows were comfortable and the room was clean (despite the odor). The indoor pool / hot tub area was clean and great for the kids, although the hot tub had way too much chlorine in it. The complimentary hot breakfast in the lobby was great, in addition to the fresh popcorn and chocolate chip cookies that are served in the evening. The entire staff was very friendly - they even opened up the conference room to alleviate the overcrowding in the breakfast area. I have stayed at several Hampton Inns, and this one falls in the average range of that hotel brand.
