“Worth the Visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2012

Interesting as you walk through the timeline of WV's history. Each section literally surrounds you with with the era. The treasure hunt game helped keep my 8 year-old's attention all the way through. Should be on you list of things to experience when you visit Charleston, along with the Clay Center.

“West Virginia state museum”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2012

Didn't have a lot of time, so we may have missed some stuff, but there didn't appear to be a lot of stuff to miss. Still, it was interesting and educational, which is what a museum is supposed to be. Research library is there for those serious history buffs.

“first time since remodel, pleasantly surprised”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2012

we went with another couple and their small children, there was no admission fee, and i think the adults were just as amazed at some of the displays and the kids. this really is a top-notch museum. exhibits and layout are right up there with major museums in DC.
