“One of the best in the USA”
Reviewed April 26, 2012

I've visited many state capitols, but WV has one of the most impressive. The architecture is unrivaled today and it sits alongside an excellent cultural center and museum.

“Great and free!”
Reviewed April 5, 2012

They have done a wonderful job creating this state museum. Entertaining for kids as well as informative for adults. Give yourself a good two hours or more and you still won't see all it has to offer.

“A state museum to be proud of”
Reviewed March 27, 2012

Years and millions of dollars in the making, the brand new museum in its old place at the Cultural Center next to the state capitol building is absolutely wonderful. Great information, visitor friendly wrap-around tour, fitting ambience--all the history that West Virginia wants to remember and to forget is all there. It is free, but don't let that put you off. It is worth visiting. Schools should love this exciting museum. And, if you are visiting our state, make this one of your stops.
