My daughter and I recently stayed here Oct 10-12 and our stay was enhanced by the exception service at the the front desk. Rod was so helpful in recommending restaurants and providing informative shuttling. Everyone was very friendly and helpful at checkin and checkout. Our room was very clean and we were comfortable. Good job!

Room Tip: Be sure and ask for what you want, the staff are willing to make your stay pleasant.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights while in town for a wedding. The location was perfect for us. Easy access to interstate. Room was very clean, easy parking, no noise issues whatsoever.

However, we had two issues. One, although not a major issue, check-in was extremely slow. The bigger issue for us was that we were given a room with two beds. We asked if any King beds were available. We were told yes but that they were directly above event space where there would be noise until 11pm. We asked if the two beds in the rooms were Queen or Full. We were told they were Queens so we accepted the two bed room. On arrival to our room, we found two Full beds (not Queens). If we had been informed correctly that they were not queen beds, we would have accepted the other room and slept more comfortably. We did not go back to the front desk to change rooms as we had to get our our way to a scheduled wedding rehearsal and dinner.

This hotel is great! very nice value, quality rooms, very quite, all updated and smell great this place!
I've been on this place 2 years ago and don't recognized when I arrive this week as the place have been updated and all looks great. I travel a lot for business more then 100 times during the year and I can say this hotel deserve to be a 3 1/2 star and not 3star as is showing on many travel website.
The only down is internet and parking isn't complimentary-( $13 for each internet and parking daily) they should provide a better dial
As a hotel, comfort and location was great and I'll be in this place again in the future! for shoppers you'd love as just across street is the Mall with many store and restaurants

The hotel has nice, clean room with good internet service, but what really sets it apart is the service level. Everyone from the check-in desk to the restaurant are helpful and genuinely pleasant. The location is in the center of town.

We all know that as a customer you have many choices when it comes to hotels and the only real difference in most cases is the service that is provided. My husband and I were booked to stay in this motel 3 nights for a convention and we were disappointed in what was offered considering the nightly rate. We were told that we had to pay 12.50 for WiFi service and also 12.00 nightly to park our car. When I told the desk clerk that all motels that we have stayed offer WiFi as a free service. She then said that I could use the computer in the lobby. After I objected, she did give the service complimentary. The room was nice except the TV had no signal on several stations. This was reported several times and was finally repaired on our last night's stay. There was no Porter and we had to locate a cart and take care of our luggage ourselves. The room had no microwave or refrigerator. We requested a refrigerator and one was brought to the room which did not function!!
We had no complaints regarding the housekeeping and we appreciated their diligence.
It would be nice if there had been some type of continental breakfast...we were told to use their restaurant.
We felt this motel is over-rated for the price and we had friends who stayed closer to the Civic Center who were very satisfied, had a full complimentary breakfast, free parking, free WiFi and paid 40.00 less!!

I am very sorry you were not completely satisfied with your current stay. The additional cost for services unfortunately are standaerd for a full service Marriott, but we do have brands such as Courtyard, Fairfield Inn, and Residence Inn that do have these services as complimentary. I spent two nights at the Marriott Town Center for a recent conference. This has to be THE prime location in Charleston. The Town Center Mall is directly across the street; the Charleston Civic Center is within walking distance; lots of great food nearby, etc. Service is excellent and the room was extremely comfortable. I absolutely loved the quality of the bedding materials (typical of Marriott!). My only minor complaints would be waiting on the elevators (only a problem at peak times), and parking. Unfortunately, the parking garage can be a big inconvenience. I personally was on the eleventh floor of the hotel--to get to my vehicle, I would have to wait for the elevator (sometimes a looooong time), ride down to the first floor (stopping at most of the floors in-between), walk through the lobby and outside to the parking garage, wait on the garage elevator, ride up several floors (again stopping along the way), and then walk to my car. Fortunately, the location made it easy to walk everywhere without moving my car. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here. It's somewhat overpriced, but what Marriott property isn't? I will be back.

The hotel did a great job keep over 300 women fed and comfortable. Even went so far as turning the men's bathroom into a women's so we wouldn't have to go to several floors. The location is in the center of town and you can walk to numerous restaurants and tourist spots
