My wife and I spent a romantic belated wedding anniversary at the Carriage Inn. From the time we stepped into this wonderful B&B, Donn and Marie, the owners, made us feel like family. The house itself has a very interesting history, which the owners proudly explain to all new arrivals. Once we were ushered into our room, we found the decor of the room very pleasing. Delicious snacks were served in the afternoon and a variety of drinks were provided throughout the day. Breakfast was to die for. Our first morning was spent having breakfast in bed - a wonderful option that I highly recommend. The B&B is conveniently located near numerous activities, but you could easily spend the day at the Carriage Inn relaxing, reading or enjoying the company of the other guests.

We only stayed one night but would have liked to stay longer. Owners/Inn Keepers were exceptionally friendly and shared the history of the home and area. They were passionate about the home and very knowledgeable about the antiques and paintings in the Inn. One of the best B&B's we have stayed in.

OUTSTANDING!!! Don and Marie were caring, knowledgable, and friendly. They were pleasant socially, yet inobtrusive. Their historic home was well kept with modern conveniences(ex.central air). Free breakfast(homemade muffins, fresh fruit, sumptuous offerings)--free drinks-free snacks-freeparking. This was the perfect location in our travels to VA, DC, MD, and WVA. We stayed 3 nights and yearned for more!!! Andy and Bill Wynnewood PA

Our first time staying at a B&B and cannot imagine ever finding any place that beats the Carriage Inn. It's a wonderful old historic house that Donn and Marie have transformed into a delightfully warm and inviting home away from home. The Shenandoah room, which we stayed in, was perfect for us with its adjoining enclosed porch. We were able to check out most of the other rooms too, and there wasn't one that we wouldn't consider staying in. Can't say enough about our gracious hosts; they are just super people who put us at ease right away. My wife had been wanting to stay at a B&B for years now, but I had doubts about doing so and had resisted. Had I known the Carriage Inn existed, I've have given in years ago. A terrific place for us to spend our 35th wedding anniversary.

Donn and Marie are wonderful hosts and clearly love what they do! Their inn is beautiful, historic, and comforatble. My husband eats everything, but I am vegan and we both enjoyed fabulous breakfasts. Don't forget to try the porch swing!
