“Diner within an eclectomart”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

The atmosphere is kinda cool. You dine in a reuse shop. The food is homemade, simple and good. Soups are a good bet, breakfast is made in front of you while you watch. Read the paper chat a bit, shop a bit, have another coffee refill, relax this is near Mayberry like. Get some gossip or spread some.

“Have breakfast with the locals”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

If you want a real local experience, head down to the counter at Needful Things for breakfast. Located inside a second-hand thrift shop, you would expect to find a brekjfast and lunch counter but there it is. There are a few tables as well as the counter. The food is simple but good with good size portions. The staff is uniformly welcoming and friendly. I always feel comfortable here. It seems to be a local hang out for farmers and retirees...drinking coffee and talking about local issues. Like I said, just a good local experience where you'll feel welcome and have a good, traditional breakfast at a very reasonable price.

“Great lunch counter”
Reviewed December 5, 2012

Having eaten here many times over the last 15 years for both breakfast and lunch. I hadn't eaten here in about a year since I have been away but had lunch there a coupld of days ago. Exactly what you would expect from a lunch counter. Decent food at a reasonable price. Very friendly atmosphere.

“I keep coming back, the staff have the best smiles in town!”
Reviewed November 22, 2011

Very affordable, great BLT sandwiches and the best ice tea in town! But most of all, I always feel welcome there. No matter how many customers they have, the wait staff always treats each person like a family member.
