“Have breakfast with the locals”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

If you want a real local experience, head down to the counter at Needful Things for breakfast. Located inside a second-hand thrift shop, you would expect to find a brekjfast and lunch counter but there it is. There are a few tables as well as the counter. The food is simple but good with good size portions. The staff is uniformly welcoming and friendly. I always feel comfortable here. It seems to be a local hang out for farmers and retirees...drinking coffee and talking about local issues. Like I said, just a good local experience where you'll feel welcome and have a good, traditional breakfast at a very reasonable price.

“Great lunch counter”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

Having eaten here many times over the last 15 years for both breakfast and lunch. I hadn't eaten here in about a year since I have been away but had lunch there a coupld of days ago. Exactly what you would expect from a lunch counter. Decent food at a reasonable price. Very friendly atmosphere.

“I keep coming back, the staff have the best smiles in town!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2011

Very affordable, great BLT sandwiches and the best ice tea in town! But most of all, I always feel welcome there. No matter how many customers they have, the wait staff always treats each person like a family member.

“Fun old-time diner similar to eating at Woolworth's lunch counter!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2011

A couple of girlfriends and I stopped in for lunch, and it was very good. The ladies who waited on us were very friendly and the food was home-cooked. Taco salad, hot dogs and the lunch special were all devoured to the last morsel. A fun and quick place to have lunch before or after shopping in the antique/novelty shop within which it is situated. We will return!
