I needed a room in a pinch but needed somewhere that was affordable but clean and this was the perfect place. The staff was very nice & polite and seemed to want to help in any way possible. I have since stayed there again & the service was as good as the first time. I am planning another trip at this very moment and plan to stay there this time around as well IF theres a room available... The only con would be the limited TV stations, I think they only have the BASIC channels but the rest of the services make up for that. The free breakfast was great as well..

Stayed here overnight on the way home from Myrtle Beach to Canada. Very easy to find. Clean and spacious rooms. Excellent breakfast choices. Our tv kept losing its color. The people next door on either side were loud until about 1am and woke up early about 5:30am. We didn't sleep well. We got a roll away bed for our third child at no extra cost. The service at the desk was great as was the lady taking care of breakfast.

Room Tip: Avoid neighbors if possible because you can hear them through the walls.

My family and I were traveling down to KY from CT. We were planning on driving through, but hit some bad storms, and decided to stay overnight. We had never heard of Microtel Inns, but took a chance since they had a vacancy. The gentleman at the desk was very friendly, and gave me the AAA rate.

The room was very nice and clean. It was a quiet stay, which was a surprise since the hotel was full. The breakfast bar was great. The woman who runs the breakfast bar, Ruth, was very friendly, and made us feel like family.

I don't normally eat waffles, but they had the best waffles I ever had. If you stay at the Microtel in Bridgeport, WV, you will have an enjoyable stay. And you have to try the waffles.

This was a really nice Microtel. The location was great. The staff were very friendly, check in was super fast. The breakfast area had the juice bar available all day. The room was exceptionally clean, the bed was very clean and comfortable. The furniture was in excellent condition. The bathroom was exceptionally clean.

The only thing that kept this from being a five rating from me was the internet service. It was very spotty, constantly losing connection. It wasn't the signal. The signal strength was excellent, but the internet kept losing connectivity. My laptop diagnosis said there was a problem with the router. Having internet access is very important for me. According to some of the other reviews, I'm not the only one who had problems.

If you can live without the internet, this is a great place. If you have to have internet access, I'd call and make sure the problem is fixed or look elsewhere.

With everything else as good as it was, I really hate that I can't rate this property a five. It's so close.

I have stayed at this hotel several times, so my opinion spans several visits. The rooms are clean, though the carpets could use a thorough cleaning. Unfortunately, drillers working in the area have made their mark.

So far, the one thing I am consistantly disappointed in is the internet service. Very spotty at times and slow the majority of the time. I complained the last time I stayed here three months ago and was told then they were fixing it. Well,...that hasn't been dealt with. I tried to download a .pdf file for work, only 671K, and it took nearly a minute. My mobile broadband is faster than that.

The breakfast is the average continental breakfast. Boring, but sufficient. They need more serving space for breakfast.

I also requested a first floor room when I made the reservation, two weeks in advance, then the morning of my stay I called to confirm this request and was told that was not a problem. Tonight I am staying in room 323. Sigh. They said they overbooked for the night...and I wonder, "how is this my fault"? Oh well. For that, in my opinion, service takes a hit.

My husband and I took a trip to Grafton WV for a nephew's wedding and were looking for reasonably priced accomdations and found them at Microtel (suggestion shopping online for your best prices and 3 days stays or longer get you 15% discount). We did not encounter any of the negatives that some had written about. The staff (all of them) were friendly and most willing to assist with any need we had. Daily you would find the motel being cleaned (inside, as well as the parking lot area). The bed was comfortable and overall the room was clean (I travel with my personal cleaning supplies just in case and they were not necessary). The only note I could add is take a small rubber bath mat for the tub, as we did find it slick and did not want to risk a fall (but this is necessary in other motels, for us). The location is great for easy access to I-79 and Rt. 50.

Room Tip: We preferred the third floor, no noise from above and a room away from the elevator (we prefer to us...

I stayed there for a week in a "suite" two doubles and a micro/fridge combo. The decor looks 70 porn - one wall is a mirror, same with the bathroom. The carpet was dirt, and dried food on the floor in front of the fridge, no towels in the bathroom or no coffee maker. When I came back from work on Monday the bed was made but the food was STILL on the floor and no towels! The wi fi was very slow and after 7 pm unusable. The TV selection very poor. Overhead lighting no lamps. The Breakfast was OK.
The good, checkin was quick and easy. A nice cushioned window seat, the AC was OK. Beds were comfortable.

I would not recommend unless its for one night in a pinch.
