This restaurant is in an old house on a hill overlooking a main highway through Bluefield. We ate outside on the front porch, which had traffic noise but was nonetheless pleasant. Everything is a la carte, including a glass of ice water, so be careful what you order. (It turned out that the customer must know ahead of time to specify tap water, or he gets bottled water at a $1.50 extra charge, which left me with a negative feeling for this place.) Nevertheless, the beef tenderloin I ordered was excellent and cooked to my specifications, and even came with some nice, fresh green beans. The basic salad was also excellent. The server even provided some bread at no extra charge, even though this supposedly comes at an additional charge. The service was a bit slow, as this restaurant appears to be a small two- or three-employee operation. (The chef is also the bartender.) Overall, it was a more than satisfactory dining experience, especially considering Bluefield has few, if any, comparable sit-down restaurants.
