This property was easy to book (at very short notice), find the cottage (good directions given), check in & check out. Great location, cottage had everything we needed, picking fruit and veggies from the garden was a bonus! We had a fab meal in the local Bistro and the local shops were well stocked. Having all the basics at the cottage was a great help. Water hot, beds comfy, linen clean, towels fluffy. Fab views of either the sea or the garden. Book this place soon!
We felt really lucky to stay in the Shore Cottage: we didn't want to leave. It's lovely: it provides high-quality accommodation in a stunning location with a homely feel. The house is bright and airy, with the feel of a real home (unlike many holiday cottages) and within hearing distance of the sea. It has lovely bedrooms, with two double rooms out of three with a view of the sea, and a lot of space for sitting, chatting, tea-drinking and relaxing: you can take your pick of the dining space, the sitting room and the conservatory, not to mention the many sheltered places in the garden. The dining table has a lovely view of the sea and the sunsets: ideal for group dining. The garden is a delight. The house is ideally located just a 10-minute road walk from Eyries village (on a safe road) and a 10-minute walk on the Beara Way from Eyries beach. It’s an ideal holiday rental for a group of people who may want to do things together sometimes and separately sometimes, as so much is within easy reach. It really suited us as a group of four adults and twin infants. We were, however, tempted not to leave the house and gardens at all, as it was so relaxing there. It is clear that the house and gardens have been loved and developed with creativity and care, and a real privilege to stay there.
We had a fantastic 5 days here. The house is well-equipped and has all the necessities. The location is literally a stones-throw from the Beara Way, with a view out over the sea and with a beach a few minutes walk away. It is nigh-on perfect. The information provided by the owners and their local contacts was comprehensive and clear. And the house was clean and tidy when we arrived, with a very nice welcome pack of milk, bread, chocolate and other goodies on the table to welcome us. I would heartily recommend this house to anyone.
What an amazing few days. It was incredible to stay in Bonnie & Rupert's place, where all their small attentions to detail were so welcome! I would highly recommend the location if you're looking to experience true Irish hospitality in an amazing setting and perfect house!
What an amazing place! Really cozy house right next to the Atlantic. Amazing views. We felt so at home it was difficult to leave!
Excellent accommodation in a beautiful place. The cottage catered for our every need. Would love to have stayed longer.
Shore Cottage is a wonderful holiday retreat for a family with a sense of adventure who want to connect with natural world and all that it offers. The house is cosy, with a lovely wood fire, the most amazing sea views and an enchanting garden that is perfect for hide and seek, outside eating or even creating an explorers camp! Lovely swimming spots are just a five minute stroll and numerous scenic walks on your door step.
Eyeries village offers a great local shop, classic Irish pubs, tea shop and restaurant.
For the bold at heart there are amazing cycling routes offering challenging terrain through spectacular countryside. I couldn't recommend the Shore Cottage experience more highly, we are sure to be back for more!!
