“sisters' weekend”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

Both of our dinners were excellent, wine was good, ambience was
nice, wait staff was attentive but not hovering. This was our 2nd time to dine here and the experience was as great as the first time.

“Splendid!!”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

We eat here every time we are in the area and we are Never disappointed! Fresh, local and seasonal. Sorbet between courses to cleanse the palate. Every dish is not only beautiful, but exquisitely prepared. One of the best restaurants we've
patronize. Some may say it is pricey, but the food is top notch and well worth it. The service is friendly, unobtrusive and knowledgeable. A total delight!

“Excellent!!!”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

One of the best meals we've had in a while and we are used to really good fresh food. Everything was fabulous- don't miss the watermelon gazpacho- I think it is a signature dish- my husband had the Vichyssoise which he loved! we also had filet mignon, grilled halibut, and dessert - all wonderfully fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. ...sat on the porch which was a little warm but very tolerable. The service was also wonderful. It is pricy, comparable to similar places in Washington, D.C. .... but well worth it if you have a special occasion or just want a real culinary treat!!!

“Sophisticated and elegant.”
Reviewed June 9, 2013

One would not expect a restaurant and chef of this caliber in a small town in West Virginia, even such a delightful small town as Berkeley Springs. But the food here is exquisite - creatively developed, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. It's been awhile since I had a palette cleaner of sorbet between courses; it is done deliciously here. From the windows of the main dining room, almost all you see are the leaves of trees (Spring through Fall) which gives you the feeling of being in a tree house. The restaurant is in an old home on a hill, with many steps. But there is a drive to the top of the hill and a handicapped entrance for those unable to manage the steps. There is one handicapped parking space. The service was young but professional. We celebrated a 70th birthday here and it could not have been more perfect.
