Small, but not too small, and very comfortable. The menu is not so large it is cumbersome and not so small it doesn't cater to a wide variety of tastes. Service is personal and unrushed but not overbearing. Quality of the fare is exceptional. We moved into the local area from the Washington DC area on retirement thinking that we would have at least a one hour ride for a high-end dinner. Definitely not the case. The owner/chef is very approachable and easy to talk with, on his food or the local politics. As an aside, the owner is also very active in the local community, and apparently not just for personal gain.
