Description: Panorama at the Peak is made unique by our dedication to amazing local, organic New Appalachian cuisine on Capacon Mountain with views unlike any other! We're a restaurant with a knockout view that's completely dedicated to the tradition of good, whole food. We work within our regional food systems and most of the farms that grow and supply our food are within a 65-mile radius of Panorama at the Peak. To us, it's simple - the fresher the food, the better it tastes! When we can't get it local, we buy USA organic. And if we can't get it local or organic? We don't serve it. Each item on our menu is made from whole, not processed, food and we know each ingredient by heart. Whether you're vegan, gluten-free, or allergic to certain foods, we can cheerfully accommodate you! Our menu is always changing, a reflection of what is freshest each day. Guest favorites include our signature Dad's Perfect Rueben, Pan Fried Trout, and crisp Kale Salad! It's Panorama's commitment to innovative cuisine that has awarded us a place on WV Executive's 15 favorite restaurants in the state and Slow Food DC's Snail of Approval. Of course, none of this would be possible without a thoughtful staff that is dedicated to fantastic service and an unforgettable experience for each guest. Call today to make your reservation to enjoy a wonderful meal made from local, organic ingredients and accompanied by unbelievable views of the iconic Overlook in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia!

Honestly, we chose this restaurant simply based on lack of options. We were so glad that we did! Their concept is made from scratch food with as many local ingredients as possible. Our group of 8 tried several menu items including food, local beer, and cocktails - all were delicious. The service was fantastic. Our waiter was attentive and made suggestions based on the day's offerings. We will be back next time we're in town.

“Warning avoid this establishment”

We came to the resturant on a Saturday evening at 7pm, ( resturant was not busy) and the first thing the hostess tells us is "several other parties were just seated, so the chef say hold off on orders"........the when we do get a waitress, (who acted like she did not want to work there) we tried to order an appetizer, she told us "she could not take our appetizer order without taking our entree order at the same time".....at that point we asked to the check for our drinks and left....this is the most absurd policy I have ever heard of in my life....this resturant is no cheap, and if I want to order an appetizer, and then my main meal, I am the customer....period.....

This place will go out of business and the building will be boarded up at some point in the near future, if this is how they treat customers...

I drove 5 minutes into Berkley springs, and had a great meal at "Tari's"

I'm so happy to hear from you.
I am the co-owner and Gen'l Manager of Panorama.
To tell you I was horrified when the staff told me Sunday morning about this 'lack-of-hospitality' incident is an understatement. First, let me apologize profusely for the experience you had at our restaurant, a place normally known for our hospitality.
You are our Guest. It's hard to understand and embarrassing that we forgot that on Saturday.

I have a note on my desk to call you.
We are grateful to you for the lesson you taught us - one that needed to be learned apparently.
I would like to have your address so I may invite you back to have a complete dinner on us - ordering any way you choose. We would be grateful if you would give us another chance to show you how we prefer to treat our Guests.
Monday at our weekly Manager's meeting, correcting this was our priority.
By Monday afternoon, we had a new procedure worked out to m a k e s u r e this never happens again, at any level. We implemented changes in the system. Staff re-training will begin today (Thurs - our first day open) as the new features on the system are implemented.
Please accept our apologies and our gratitude.
We hope we have a chance to make it up to you.
We're red in the face and sick at heart,
Patti Miller

“Good food with a wonderful view”

Scott is a great chef and works wonders with whatever ingredients he has available. Since they only use the freshest (and mostly local) goods, choices can be somewhat limited. While we've always enjoyed what we eat, we wish there was greater variety for when we bring guests.

Lovely view, excellent lamb shank. Very tasty food. Slightly better than Lot 12. Menu is friendly for vegetarian and gluten free.

“Fabulous food and excellent service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2013

We stopped at the Panorama for lunch on a Saturday. We had heard great things about the food and were not disappointed! The broccoli cheese sop was so incredible. I could have eaten three bowls. The stuffed wontons were amazing and served over a delicious cream of corn sauce. The creme brûlée was small for the price, but good. The service was amazing. They were very sweet and accommodating to our baby, even asking if he needed a pillow for his back in his high chair. Not many upscale restaurants are nice to kids. We loved the green philosophy and the vegetarian friendly menu. It was so good that we went back again the next day. We would have gone for breakfast too if they served it. From the outside I never would have guessed it was an upscale restaurant and probably wouldn't have stopped if I was just passing by. The decor inside is homey. Not what you'd expect, but also relaxing in a way that puts you at ease in a fine dining experience. I recommend visiting several times during your stay at Berkeley Springs!
