Description: Panorama at the Peak is made unique by our dedication to amazing local, organic New Appalachian cuisine on Capacon Mountain with views unlike any other! We're a restaurant with a knockout view that's completely dedicated to the tradition of good, whole food. We work within our regional food systems and most of the farms that grow and supply our food are within a 65-mile radius of Panorama at the Peak. To us, it's simple - the fresher the food, the better it tastes! When we can't get it local, we buy USA organic. And if we can't get it local or organic? We don't serve it. Each item on our menu is made from whole, not processed, food and we know each ingredient by heart. Whether you're vegan, gluten-free, or allergic to certain foods, we can cheerfully accommodate you! Our menu is always changing, a reflection of what is freshest each day. Guest favorites include our signature Dad's Perfect Rueben, Pan Fried Trout, and crisp Kale Salad! It's Panorama's commitment to innovative cuisine that has awarded us a place on WV Executive's 15 favorite restaurants in the state and Slow Food DC's Snail of Approval. Of course, none of this would be possible without a thoughtful staff that is dedicated to fantastic service and an unforgettable experience for each guest. Call today to make your reservation to enjoy a wonderful meal made from local, organic ingredients and accompanied by unbelievable views of the iconic Overlook in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia!

Lovely view, excellent lamb shank. Very tasty food. Slightly better than Lot 12. Menu is friendly for vegetarian and gluten free.

“Fabulous food and excellent service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2013

We stopped at the Panorama for lunch on a Saturday. We had heard great things about the food and were not disappointed! The broccoli cheese sop was so incredible. I could have eaten three bowls. The stuffed wontons were amazing and served over a delicious cream of corn sauce. The creme brûlée was small for the price, but good. The service was amazing. They were very sweet and accommodating to our baby, even asking if he needed a pillow for his back in his high chair. Not many upscale restaurants are nice to kids. We loved the green philosophy and the vegetarian friendly menu. It was so good that we went back again the next day. We would have gone for breakfast too if they served it. From the outside I never would have guessed it was an upscale restaurant and probably wouldn't have stopped if I was just passing by. The decor inside is homey. Not what you'd expect, but also relaxing in a way that puts you at ease in a fine dining experience. I recommend visiting several times during your stay at Berkeley Springs!

“Delectable Valentine's Day dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2013 via mobile

As we have been coming here for the past 10 years since moving to WV it is always a pleasant experience for dining. The special prix fixe Valentine's day 3 course meal was as excellent as expected. We wanted to try something Chef Scott had done on cast-iron since he had won with a similarly cooked dish at the Cook-Off at The Greenbrier just last week. He did not dissapoint with the Beef Wellington.

“a memorable food experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2013

It was almost a year ago, and I still haven't found any comparable food experience. I got myself thinking about the lamb and the fruit crust eaten there last year. I was pregnant and very picky, and everything was delicious. That is something to write about!

“Fresh and delicious!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2013

While its reputation for excellent food, prepared fresh from locally grown seasonal products may draw you to this gem, don't be disappointed by the interior decor because somehow it all works together. You won't be dining at fancy hand carved tables on marble floors but the food you get would be right at home with that type of high-end look. At Panorama at the Peak you can wear your comfy clothes and feel like you're eating tuxedo food! And I highly recommend wearing some pants with a little give because once you get started you won't want to stop .... and don't, because to miss the ghirardelli chunk brownies hot from the oven topped with homemade creamery vanilla ice cream would be a crime against the culinary arts. I wish I could give recommendations on all of their dishes but since they change every season to reflect the growing season you'll just have to visit often!
