I believe anyone would love to have a park like this in their town. Not only is the park historic(George Washington took the waters here). It is a beautiful place simply to sit or picnic. And than there is the hot springs themselves where you can get a massage.Nearby are places to eat ,shop, taste wine, etc. There is a museum in the park that tells the history of the park and why it is.The park is free but the massage is not.

This is not your traditional state park. It's in the middle of a little town- 2-3 stop lights- and it looks like a municipal park. We drove by it several times before we realized it WAS the park. It's a very cute little area (little) but it was a fun way to spend a warm morning. You can fill up your containers at the spring under the "Gentlemen's House" or you can just walk around. We did that for maybe 10 minutes before our boys couldn't take it anymore and needed to know if they could get in the water or not. It's hard to tell since there are no signs posted and no visible "rangers." So after standing around wondering, an older local man said go ahead and we did. We're so glad he did because it was one of the best parts of the trip for our boys. It is set up perfectly for flip-flop races or walking around through the channels or feeling the bubbling springs on your toes. We're still not sure if were officially allowed- and we apologize if we weren't- but we would do it again if we were there. Ice cream shop right across the street didn't hurt either.

fun, little park on mainstreet. went to old bathhouse- had an interesting and hot hot tub. collected spring water in jugs. touristy shops in town. family went to other bathhouse for massages. some said massages were mediocre.

been wanting to go there forever, and the size was a bit of a shock, but it was fun and worth it if you're within an hour or 2 of there.

If you're looking for a relaxing vacation, stop in at Berkeley Springs WV, soak in the State Parks mineral springs in the middle of town then enjoy a total body massage at one of the nearby dayspas. (You don't want to miss the tap outside so you can take sping water home to drink.) This charming town is full of spas, bed and breakfasts, antique shops as well as lovely little shops featuring work by local artisans and all within walking distance. Make sure you don't miss Tari 's Cafe, a great place for lunch or dinner.

Stayed in Berkeley Springs after dropping our son off at college - had the chance to take advantage of the roman bath and massage - thanks Larry - my shoulders are much better! Normally its not my thing - but I am glad my wife convinced me to go! Not the exclusive high brow attitude that I feared - very down to earth and practical - and relaxing!
