“Great place to grab a burger”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2013

Heading back from Mt. Rainier and looking for a burger joint, we came across Jim Bob's. Nothing fancy about this place. Place your order and they'll bring it to you at your table. The burger tasted great and the price is right. Perfect stop for the family. If you're looking for something fancy, don't eat here.

“Out of a Bag !!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2013

Everything is out of a bag, no fresh foods at all, well the eggs are the only fresh thing, If you want meat well this is one of the places you can get it..
If they would bring in more Organic or even fresh foods i would come back..
P.S They really need to wash those windows, it is an eye sore !!

“Military discount......ouch!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 21, 2012

Was sickened by owner's reasoning when questioned the military discount. Was asked for an ID, but when I showed it was told.....sorry, only active duty military in uniform (somehow my retired ID was not good enough for them). Her reasoning reminded me why we gladly serve for others, and not for someone like them!! It physically made me nauseous to hear her explanation! DON'T offer the discount if you split hairs like that and offend retired war veterans.......it is just as lame as not offering the discount when 80% of your business is military clientele (and to boot, I didn't even ask for the 10c saving). Definitely avoiding this place in the future to give others the business they deserve! Sad part is, my wife (active duty) was denied same discount because she was in civies......shame on you!! ;(

“We discovered a gem!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2012

We were on the first day of a five day motorcycle trip when we passed through Yelm. Our traveling companion had eaten at Jim Bob's several years earlier and recommended it since it was lunch time.

Upon entering the restaurant we were confronted with a giant problem...too many choices!

Those in our party chose everything from salad, to sandwiches, to a combination plate. Everyone was extremely happy with their meals. The portion sizes were substantial, the taste was very good, and the prices reasonable. What more could we ask for?

Owner "Cheryl Bob" and her other staff members were very helpful and provided superb service throughout our visit.

We're already talking about riding up there just to eat....and it's a two hour trip each way!

“Varied menu with BBQ”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2012

Stopped to try the BBQ. Does not approach Texas standards as the BBQ beef was dry and lacked the usual rub on the outside. I thought the meat - ribs and brisket my have been smoked at too high a temperature. The BBQ sauce was not house and there was no condiment counter of the usual sliced onions, dill pickles, and jalapenos. This is not a BBQ house but is a clean, well managed local fast food restaurant best described as common sense. The portions are common sense as well as the other menu items and the prices are competitive.
