An upscale, family-oriented Italian restaurant. Tantalizing martinis (we took the raspberry martini, really good), and an appealing menu. Excellent crab-mellon appetizer, and chicken piccata ( a bit too creamy) as entree. Nice wine list; our waiter offred some wine samplers as dessert, a nice bonus. Excellent service overall.

We called for reservations about an hour before arriving on a Friday night and were seated right away. The place was quite busy. We ordered the Halibut Ceviche ($10) for an appetizer. It was plenty large enough for two to share. The dish was amazing! The Halibut was delicious and the jalapeno strips were a perfect addition to the ceviche. The corn cakes (that tasted very much like tamales) were perfect. We would go back again just for that appetizer. For entrees we had the Shrimp & Fettucine Alfredo and the Chicken Canneloni. Both were very good. For wine we ordered the Naches Heights Vineyards Riesling and Pinot Gris. Both went very well with the Halibut. We also had a glass of the 3 Rivers Chard. Very decent wines. The fresh Peach Creme Brulee for dessert was very good and would have been excellent if the peach had been closer to fully ripe. Still, an excellent dinner overall.

On a Tuesday night for a somewhat late (8:00pm) dinner, we weren't sure what we would find in Yakima. Fortunately Zesta Cucina seems to be popular with locals and there were plenty of parties enjoying both the large indoor space and the outside deck, where we chose to sit. Despite the busy street running alongside, the deck was pleasant with baskets of petunias and the servers didn't forget about us. The prices are on the high side, but justified by the quality of the food and service. We had the salad with heirloom tomatoes and mozarella to start, which was plenty for two to share. My husband had the halibut and risotto, while I had the crab cakes with grilled asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious and the vegetables in particular were very well prepared, not over done. Our server recommended a bottle of local Naches Heights Pinot Gris that we enjoyed very much. Would definitely recommend for a special dinner; plan to spend average of $25 for an entree.

Recently visited Yakima Valley on a wine-tasting blitz. A local friend recommended Zesta Cucina
for dinner and we were not disappointed. Wide variety of items on the menu, and wide range of
prices, so it can be as reasonable or as expensive as you desire. I happened to have the chicken ravioli on the reasonable side and was not expecting much, but was surprised to
receive a huge portion of deliciousness! Also had a caesar salad which was exactly right.
(Don't usually order it anymore as it often comes absolutely drenched in the dressing, completely
overdone. Zesta Cucina's caesar salad was perfect and delicious.) Dinner also came with
lots of great bread with good olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping. For dessert we had a
scoop of the salt caramel ice cream, actually sprinkled with lovely black salt crystals for effect.
Delicious. Can't remember what anyone else ordered, but everyone was pleased with their
meal and the service excellent (a very busy night). Highly recommend this restaurant. Very
attractive location as well.

We went to Zesta Cucina for lunch on a Saturday. There were eight of us, we had made a reservation and were seated immediately. The food was very fresh, however being there for lunch 2 people ordered paninis, which were both dripping with grease. Other than that everyone else seemed satisfied with their food. The waitress was very pushy trying to get people to drink something other than water, unfortunately she only refilled the water once over the course of the lunch, bummer. The decor of the restaurant was great, we sat in a room with a mural of an Italian scene which was nice while we waited for out food.
