We went there for lunch on Sunday, and even though they were serving "only" brunch until 2:00, the kitchen was willing to cook things for us off the lunch menu. The lamb burger was very good!

This, unfortunately is not it. Why is so hard to provide food that meets the quality of the prices, and provide service? To over pay for the quality of the food and have slow service seems to be a theme among the higher end restaurants in this town. We were underwhelmed here and won’t be back. As a side note, the drinks were well poured and desserts were fabulous, we should have skipped the main course.

You can count on 5 North for a good meal, great atmosphere and prompt, friendly service. What more could you ask for? I visited the restaurant on a business trip and I was not unhappy with my decision. The food is locally sourced and tastes great.

My wife and I spent two days in the Yakima area and had dinner at 5 North one evening. Formerly, Yakima may not have been known for offering much choice in fine dining, but that isn't true today. We were very pleased with the food and service. The restaurant is located in a restored building in the center of town and is divided into two sections: one is a noisy but fun, large room for those seeking lighter fare such as burgers or pizza; the other is a smaller, quieter, and more elegant area with white table cloths and flowers. The dinner menu offers some excellent and interesting choices of starters, salads, and entrees. Entrees range from seafood to a variety of meat dishes. The wine, cocktail, and beer selection is very good. We had an intelligent and experienced waiter who knew the menu well and was a good conversationalist. We thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant and would recommend it to any visitors or travelers.

My daughter picked this restaurant just by looking up places on her cell phone as we were just visiting the area for 2 nights and we were more than pleasantly surprised. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The menu had interesting, unique dishes and something for everyone's taste. You could make a meal out of the bread!! A bit pricey, but worth it when you get exceptional food and service.
