My nephew, 13' was coming to visit us and I had no idea about where to take him for entertainment. The Visotor Center gave us several ideas. They worked well! He had a great time and so did we.

We need an escape from the Seattle clouds, so we headed to Yakiima for the weekend. Knowing we needed to do something more than drink wine (well, geez, it was 10am, people!), we headed to the visitors center. It's a lovely place, and the woman working there took the time to find out what we were interested in and then made suggestions. Very helpful.

I would love to see some more non traditional offerings in these visitors centers...not just the standard fare. The offbeat, unique...certainly every region has them.

Very informative and so was Gil (I think that was his name, sorry if I got it wrong). It seemed as though he couldn't help enough. Ask a question and we got answers and/or brochures and directions.

Easy access from the freeway.
The woman I encountered did not care to offer any information regarding tourism. Had to ask for farm and winery information.. Explained we were staying in Sunnyside-- so we did not need hotel information, not sure she would have offered!
Looked like a great selection of merchandise... however not all marked with prices.
Very disappointed with this experience, have always had great experiences at any visitors center
prior to this visit.
