“Nice Hotel, Convenient location”
Reviewed October 25, 2007

I spent three nights here in June. Loved it. Friendly staff. Clean, well appointed rooms. Convenient to the highways (easy drive to Wine Country!) Short drive to downtown. I would stay here again.

We have stayed at several hotels in Yakima over the past few years and our stay at the Fairfield was fantastic! We travel all over the west coast US and Canada and this was the BEST place we have stayed at all year! Clean, friendly staff, well layed out, comfortable sheets, beds. We will be staying there from now on for sure! The shower heads are high enough for a tall person to use w/o hitting their head. The contennental breakfast was a good selection and the coffee was hot! We are looking forward to another trip to Yakima, we know where we will be staying! At the Fairfield Inn for sure!

My husband and I are building a home in the Yakima Valley so we've stayed several nights at this hotel. Always, always is the staff helpful and generous with their time. We enjoy the morning breakfast. The easy access to all roads and the highway make this a great place for us to stay.

I stayed at this hotel in August when I returned to Yakima for my 20th class reunion.

I was a bit leary about the location and the class of the hotel. Yakima is not the "palm springs of Washington" that it purports itself to be. Accomodation options are fairly limited there and the downtown area where this hotel is located was at one time less than desireable.

What a great experience this hotel was! If you value cleanliness and great customer service this is your accomodation. The staff is exceptional and seemed quite invested in making our stay a pleasant one. New development in the area - a new strip mall with a Target store- has improved the neighborhood considerably. At no time did we feel unsafe or leary about leaving our car in the parking lot.

Continental breakfast was fine. We were not as blown away by the food as others who have posted here, but if you want coffee, fruit and pastries it is fine and I do suppose that they have more continental breakfast offerings than most other hotels.

No doubt about it, this is where we will stay again when we return to Yakima in the future.

Stayed here one night one business. My windows were closed- it was winter - but I didn't even KNOW there was an interstate nearby it was so quiet. Very small workout room - 1 stepper, 1 bike & 1 treadmill & small Universal machine. Medium size indoor pool. Hotel was very clean with good wired internet connection. Friendly front desk staff. The complimentary breakfast was above average: pastries, yogurt, breakfast sandwiches and burritos, fruit, hot & cold cereal and make-your-own waffles. Coffee 24-hours a day in the lobby. Refrigerators and microwaves and cofeemakers in rooms.
I paid $95 before taxes. 15 minute drive to the Yakima mini-airport.

We stayed here on a very warm evening and found it necessary to use the air conditioning to sleep comfortably. When it was on it was extremely noisy and blew directly onto the bed. I tried turning it off and opening a window but the traffic noise from the freeway that was adjacent was also very noisy. Both my husband and I did not sleep very well due to this problem. I assume if you stay in the winter you would incounter the same problem using the heat.
