The restaurant has recently moved to the old train station, which is very cool, and all of the workers are polite, prompt, and knowledgable. We still had the old address on our phones, so we called for directions, and the (clearly busy) young lady took her time to help us find it.

The supreme pizza seemed a little thin on toppings, and the lasagna was a lot more spicy than we had anticipated.

We were looking for something quick and local on a trip through Yakima and lucked into Russillo's for lunch. The restaurant is now located in the old rail road station of a redevelopment district. We had cheesy garlic bread (think cheese pizza with a tasty garlic and butter wash) and a custom pie, heavy on the meats. Everything arrived quickly and HOT from the oven. No room saved for Gelato - our mistake.

We drove by to find it with a sign on the door stating they are planning to reopen nearby August 1st. We went to Miners #1 in Union Gap about 3 miles away.

We were staying in the Yakima Hilton Garden Inn and checked TA for some quick advice on a nearby restaurant. We're glad we found this spot just a few blocks away.

It's located in a sort of strip mall made up of converted freight cars lined up like a train. We visited on a quiet Sunday night and were happy to find it open.

The interior offers a quirky and pleasant atmosphere.

The friendly waitress suggested a cup of the artichoke-based soup as a starter and it was very tasty.

After some consideration, we both ordered the Meat Lasagna, well described on the menu as " generous slice of lasagna stuffed with a savory combination of riccotta, mozzarella, parmesan cheese, garlic and a special blend of Italian spices with plenty of chunky homemade meat sauce." It was very good and did taste quite home-made.

We washed it down with the decent and very reasonably priced ($18) house red wine, bottled under the Russillos label. We took the remaining half-bottle with us and finished it the next night. It stood up quite well.

The employees were attending to Sunday-night closing duties. When we mentioned something about not staying too long they reassured us to take our time and enjoy the meal.

We'd be happy to try out their pizza on another visit, based on our positive experience.

We went there early one evening - lucky for us because it filled up fast. They have a tiny dining room, with additional outside seating. The pizzas are handmade, delicious. My husband and I shared a pizza and half a salad and it was plenty! Save room for the gelato!
