We loved staying with Susie and Kevin! Delightful people with so many interests - from the wine and cheese, gourmet breakfast and garden tour - we had a very special overnight stay. Our room was private and quiet. If you are even remotely interested in gardening you will be blown away by how they have transformed their lake property (mostly sweat equity) and Susie's ongoing trilium enterprise. A highlight of our 10 day trip.

I can't say enough about this place! It was perfect for a quick getaway from Seattle while visiting the local wineries . . . and even though we didn't use it . . Uber's out there too! The house is just beautiful, our room was delightful, the view fantastic, the breakfast delicious, and the owners lovely and interesting people! If you're at all into gardening make sure to talk to Susie about her gardens, and if you're lucky maybe she'll even take you for a tour -- her gardens are amazing! She is the WORLD expert on the Trillium flower. We will definitely be back and are recommending it to all our friends. . . just hope we'll be able to get in as it gets discovered!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Rose room which was downstairs and we loved it! However, the Garden room upstairs may offer a little bit more privacy

How could you give this resort, yes resort anything less than 5 stars? This couple Kevin and Susan embraces their guests with attention to the fine details . All the amenities of an upscale resort are here with shower caps, lotions, specialty soaps , coffee in the room, sweet treats in the room and downstairs at the end of the evening as a welcome back surprise. The breakfasts were varied and balanced with a fruit, protein and carbohydrate and food allergies were considered. Something outstanding was offered in the way of sitting and joining in our breakfast conversation and not just abandoning us. If you have any interests in plants you must have Susan show you her extensive plant collection with a concentration in her specialty trilliums. I could go on and on about the beautiful lake views from their home and generosity but suffice it to say it was worth every penny to stay here.

Room Tip: The garden room is lovely but upstairs and no elevator so if you have to haul heavy luggage that would be a consideration.

From the first emails with them to the farewell, Kevin and Susie were welcoming and gracious hosts. Because of our somewhat last-minute reservation, we were in the B&B the first night and the cottage the last two. Their B&B is gorgeously designed and decorated, with great views of the lake and surroundings. The cottage was perfect for the two of us, with a modern kitchen, private deck and the same lake access as the B&B. We went out twice on the canoe to enjoy the quiet lake. It's a quick 30+ minute drive from the center of Seattle and we wouldn't hesitate to visit again!

Cottage Lake Gardens Bed and Breakfast is a find. The rooms and cabin are very nice and all have wonderful views of Cottage Lake and the property's gardens. But the real treasure is the hosts, Susie and Kevin. From the moment we met, it was like hanging out with old friends. They also know how to fix a mean breakfast!

If you are planning on a little wine tasting in Woodinville, this is an excellent place to stay-near enough to enjoy the many tasting rooms, but far enough away to have your own little oasis. We would highly recommend Cottage Lake Gardens Bed and Breakfast.
