“Great Food & Great Service”
Reviewed December 2, 2012

We came here with a large group on the recommendation of a friend. The interior is warm and inviting, with a small bar area and an elegant/rustic vibe. The food and service were both outstanding, and the chef Bobby is awesome. So much energy and dedication to good food. Our server Gina was amazing also, everyone was very patient and friendly.

So, the food: to start we had the beef tartare with house made lavosh, which was TO DIE FOR, the Grand Marnier prawns,( which I recommend having with a glass of their viognier) the fig & proscuitto and the foie gras, which was a large, seared piece of tender, melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Anohter couple had the mussels which smelled and looked beautiful.

For my entree, I had the seared Ahi and pork belly, which was one of the best dishes I've had in a while. Very delicate flavor pairings and perfectly cooked. I highly recommend it. My husband had the filet mignon which he says was fantastic.

The wine list has an extensive Washington/local selection, and the server Gina was very knowledgeable about wine, as was Matt the sommelier. There don't seem to be any "bad" places to sit in the restaurant, and they even have a large round table with a fire pit for groups.

This is a gem of a restaurant!

“Frog is HIGH End Rustic”
Reviewed December 1, 2012

The Woodinville, WA. "Barking Frog" is a relaxing, fun, rustic style HIGH End restaurant. The service is excellent, out-done only by the quality of the food. We've enjoyed both a brunch and an evening meal here; both were outstanding.
The service is exemplary! We felt welcome, well-cared for and having a great time... all at the same time. The menu is one of a wide, varied fare and... it's all good!
Members of our family have returned for several visits... the highest recommendation of all!

“Beautiful Restaurant!!”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

We were staying at the adjacent Willows Lodge and decided to try the Barking Frog for Sunday brunch. We were SO thrilled with this choice. The portions were extremely generous for a very reasonable price. Although we only sampled the breakfast sandwich and a salad, it seemed like everything on the menu was amazing.
The restaurant is not very big and a reservation is highly recommended but it is worth it. You would not want to be turned away from this restaurant. That would definitely not be a good thing.

“Good but ...”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

I recently had four different meals at Barking Frog - two dinners, lunch and breakfast. The best was lunch - with Grand Marnier prawns, which were truly delicious. But my two dinners, while combining interesting flavors and beautifully presented, were just too rich for my taste, and I'm an adventurous eater. Also, the service was quite slow. The servers are very friendly but they tend to chat at length with diners while others are waiting for their dishes, which you can see sitting on the counter because it's an open kitchen. The service at breakfast was better but the food was just OK.
