I participated in their tasting and was disappointed. I only liked one of the wines that were sampled, with the others lacking depth and being a little too sharp. The Chateau Ste. Michelle winery across the street had a free tour and tasting, with a much better selection of wines to taste in their sampling area.

On the plus side, they had a food truck setup outside with tasty food, accompanied by a live band.

From the service we received walking into the tasting room to the grounds of the facility this winery is a step above the others. I felt like I had my own personal vintner talking to us about the various wines. The other draw is that these were all private labels without a large distribution so I felt like every bottle I tasted and bought were unique to this visit.

We're from San Francisco, and, let's face it, Woodinville is not Napa and never will be. However, this picturesque winery is definitely worth a visit. We visited on a cold rainy day. After a wine tasting and purchasing some excellent Pinot Gris, we sat by the fire in the center of the tasting room with a glass of wonderful Cabernet and a light lunch. A totally pleasant experience.

The advertisement read "Join us Sunday, May 11, 2014, for an exquisite Mother’s Day meal, live music, Columbia Winery wines and sparkling cocktails" This description, the fact it was being held at a winery, and the $50 cost; one might assume that mom would get a glass of wine. Nope! Not even a mimosa, $6 - $8 per glass. The event claimed to be "sold out" more like "over sold out". It was extremely crowded, we were all packed into a medium sized room with zero ambiance. The food was average, but the lines to get it literally went out the door. Our waitress disappeared after one round of drinks, never to be seen until we wanted to leave with our additional drink bill. The only good thing about the afternoon was the solo guitar player.

We went there with some family from out of town. We all really enjoyed our time here - there was music - wine tasting - food available to purchase, etc. If we lived closer - we would join and go more often! What a great place to go on a date!!
