“Beautiful winery with lovely grounds and delicious wines.”
Reviewed August 3, 2014

Interesting tour of the facility and beautiful grounds. We saw a marriage proposal and a wonderful concert while there. Nice tasting room and gift shop. We enjoyed a picnic we had brought with us on their grounds. Don't pass up this winery if you are in the area.

“3-star tour & tasting with 5-star Secret inside!”
Reviewed August 1, 2014

While in Woodinville, we popped into Chateau Ste. Michelle because they opened an hour earlier than our planned stops. We appreciated the beautiful grounds and took the free winery tour. Unless you adore CSM's Riesling and want to see the bottling room, the tour is nothing special; but it does end in a barrel-lined tasting room with three tastes--white, red, and sweet. Good. 3 stars. BUT WAIT! Right inside the tasting space is a sleek, modern, chrome and glass bistro surrounded by glass walls and spot-lighted with hanging LEDs. This is the boutique prestige wine tasting for Col Solare Wines. The tasting was a little higher-priced than most ($20), but worth it. The space is intimate and limited to only a few tasters at a time (there were five of us when we were there). Rudy poured our wine flights generously, and shared his vast knowledge freely, including providing us with copious tasting notes on each. He also served crackers and a selection of cheeses to complement the wines. The wines were fabulously rich reds, and the company was charming and sociable. This 5-star secret inside CSM elevated an average winery visit to a Trip Highlight.

“Wine lover? Forget NAPA valley”
Reviewed July 31, 2014 via mobile

Washington state has become the fastest and best wine producer in North America and Chateau Ste. Michelle is one of the BEST. I urge you to come and try their wine tasting at their own vineyard that will change your taste buds. It will make you forget the Napa valley wines and even some European wines. Washington offers one of the best wines and CSM is no exception.

“Perfect venue for a concert”
Reviewed July 25, 2014

On a trip to Seattle we spent one night in Woodinville at the lovely Cottage Lake Gardens B&B as we had tickets to see Ringo Starr at the Chateau. People start lining up hours in advance, and it was fun chatting the people around us. The more experienced concert-goers were quite prepared with fabulous feasts they brought in coolers, but there are food stands set up. Also, if it is a particularly warm sunny day like it was when we went, bring a beach umbrella--you will need to take it down once the music starts, but the sun will have set behind the trees at that point. Supposedly you can bring your own wine as long as it is from Chateau St. Michelle. Port-a-potties are set up, but were clean. It was a perfect evening.

“Great Place to Visit”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

We went for a wine tasting at the Chateau Ste. Michelle. We were almost late for the tasting, but they were very nice and let us taste test. The wines were delicious and reasonably priced.
