my husband and i stayed at teh willows lodge in mid august 2009 and enjoyed out stay immensely. the lodge is well appointed and very elegant without feeling stuffy. it would be a great place for a gathering for business or family fun times. our room was large and well appointed with a great outdoor seating area/balcony. we got a good quotes on the hotel's own website and via tripadvisor. the bed was to die for. and the bath area huge. we also had a lovely sitting area and fireplace. even french press coffee in the room. the meal in the hotel restaurant was very nice, if maybe a bit too much/too rich. we over ordered!

the area is part rural and part suburb... nice drives and walks around the area seemed possible though we opted to stay at the hotel. wineries abound. there is a brewery next door to the hotel that has a fun tour with free tasting, and a cafe if you want a yummy casual bite. the grounds of the hotel are nice with wandering paths, natural flora and fauna etc. the world famous herb farm restaurant on the property uses produce and herbs from the gardens around the hotel. there is also a spa, along with an out door jacuzzi that is free for use by guests. no pool, but that is the only thing i can think of that would be anything approximating a complaint. it would lend itself to couples visits and family time too.

don't miss the italian linens, kitchen and housewares store in woodinville next to rose's antiques (rose's didn't offer real antiques, more repros; not a great store) the italian store was really neat. chateau st. michelle is also a nice place near by. car seems necessary.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant was very good. We also ate at the HerbFarm Restaurant and were treated to a 9 course spectacular dinner paired with wine.(make reservation well in advance) There are 40 wineries in this area and one brewery.

We stayed 2 nights at the Willows. We stayed in an Herb Farm Suite and the room was very beautiful and our view of the herb garden was nice. We had dinner at the Herb Farm restaurant across the driveway, so this was a convenient location for us. The feel of the place to us was cold, businesslike and sterile. Nothing was done to give a feeling of being pampered. We have stayed at true Inns where they have cookies, lemonade, you check in at a table and chairs, not a counter. Most of these upscale places also have a free wine tasting for an hour in the evening to get to meet people. Nothing like that happens here.
We just felt like it was overpriced and over rated.

We had our wedding and reception in the Willows Lodge last evening and it was absolutely perfect in every respect. The staff was very accomodating, friendly & polite.
The food for the reception was the best I have ever had at any wedding and I know I've been to at least thirty weddings. And I'm not just saying that because it was my wedding, it really was that good, expecially the sea bass. Every guest raved about the food, the hotel and the atmosphere and many remarked it was the best wedding they had ever attended.

After the party my wife and I retired to our suite which was part of the wedding package. I will say the room design is rather unique as other reviewers have mentioned with the open concept from the bathroom to the living area with the bed situated in between. It's different than any room I've experienced, but we didn't mind it at all. We thought the shower stall was kind of wierd - no door and the head in a small corner, but it was adequate. I will agree with some of the negative remarks regarding the lighting and the numerous switches to figure what works what. But I think that's nitpicking. The bed was on the hard side for us, but we have both slept on far, far worse matteresses.

All in all we were both very pleased with this hotel and the staff. It is a great place for a reception and a wedding if it's a small one - 50 persons at ours but it can very easily handle more than that.

We had breakfast in the hotels "Barking Frog" restaurant and found it to be very good with wonderful coffee. A little pricey, but I think you need to expect that at this type of upscale small hotel. We both very much recommend this property.

Amazing hotel. Very nice rooms, hip, urban, and woodsy. The staff are very nice. In the summer, many of the rooms have a natural privacy on the little patios. It may be that in the winter you lose some of the privacy with the folliage but still, cute patios. Some open into the court yard, others to the paths or other areas. We will go back. And added benefit is the pup Ruthie who hangs out at the front lobby sometimes.

One bit of info. The bathrooms, which are nice, have an etched glass in the toilet are which is not completely private. In otherwords, it's relatively private but not 100%. So if you are going with someone you don't want to share that much personal space with, be aware.

Fantastic Hotel. I booked a room for the July 4th long weekend for $129 for the "Nicest-King" room to go wine tasting around Woodinville.

The room was huge, with a jacuzzi tub, 42" Plasma, patio, etc. Definitely one of the biggest hotel rooms I've stayed in this year, very up to date and quite cool. Has the West Coast Vibe.

The location is fantastic, just minutes from wineries like Januik, St. Michelle, Mark Ryan (wow wines!), J. Bookwalter Tasting Studio, and Andrew Ross that you can easily walk to.

For dinner, check out the Purple Cafe, a quick 5 minute walk away.

My friend and I decided to hit the wine country on our adventurous vacation around the Pacific Northwest and wanted to splurge on one night at a fantastic hotel and boy, were we glad that we chose a night at Willows Lodge. We arrived a bit late into Woodinville since we were coming from Portland and unfortunately, missed the wineries in the area but no fear - Red Hook Brewery is right behind the hotel and it also happened to be outdoor movie viewing night there (happens every Thursday in the summer). We didn't get a change to visit the Barking Frog or the Herbfarm, but the hospitality we experienced at Willows Lodge, as long with the great Happy Hour, was well worth it for us.
